Last night I was lulled to sleep with the rain, tonight it’s my big dog snoring. No Déjà vu for me.

Every night I go to sleep in an empty bed big enought to land a 747.
Every morning I wake up to find myself hanging over the edge, clinging white-knuckled to the last two inches of mattress, while the canines luxuriate on the remaining ninety-eight percent of the bed. I never hear them creep up.
That’s déjà vu, which in my case is French for “sleeps to deeply.”
May you sleep as soundly without the stealthy invasion.
