After watching what may be my dad’s and my favorite movie, tonight it was my mother’s…
With a wood fire in the fireplace of my parents’ family room curling heat and light around us, we watched Giant on my dad’s (ridculously large) 72 inch screen. With kids and dogs scattered around the room like fallen logs, it was wonderfully cozy to be together.
These times at home are like nearing the end of a most delicious slice of cake. You know you don’t have many left, so you enjoy them fully, slowly and very consciously. How the time flies.
