Good Morning Wednesday, 8th October 2025

Good morning all on this lovely spring day, it is a balmy 30° forecast for later.

Was up early getting my laundry in the machine and on the line by 8am, some of it was dry an hour later - nice breeze low humidity.

Went to my PO Box to pick up a new tripod, not expensive but it has a mount that will take a F38 type mount. Alas not as wonderful as I hoped but OK for what I need. Cost less than $100 (£50) so good enough, I don’t use a tripod much. Will drop the old one off at the op shop.

Picked up a pair of wireless mics while I was at it, they are tiny I am more afraid of losing them than anything, I only bought them for a zoom call later this month but I will probably think of something else to use them for. later They charge the batteries in their little case - they were on special so buying two was actually cheaper than one. Haven’t tried them yet.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, I am off to get the rest of the washing from the line.

Take care…

Good morning from Wales.
A bit dark and moist this morning but a decent forecast once the sun comes up albeit cold. Not much above 12 degrees C apparently.
Saw a brilliant Welsh choir last night and plan to walk to Conwy this morning after breakfast.
Haven’t had a drink Since being here so hope to have one in the hotel bar tonight if we’re not to tired.
Old age sucks…

Hi

Good Morning All.

Sleep, what a joy after a fortnight in Hospital.

Hello Can I check your blood pressure please, on the hour, every hour, the shouts of those with dementia.

Then the Ward Round, every Morning.

He has slept well Doctor.

No I haven’t, it has been a nightmare

So Pleased to be back home, real, genuine sleep, just one night and I feel better already,.

Shawna has been, off to get me some things I want and now, bliss of bliss,
a fortnights TV to catch up on.

Have a great day all.

Good Morning all…

Sunny and cloudy down here on the south coast. Not a great deal going on here, Mrs G is trying to write an eulogy for her Father and I’m creating the Order of Service for the funeral in a couple of weeks time. Things are complicated by her siblings who have all their own ideas what it should be. It’s slowly coming together, but time is pressing, as final arrangements have to be in place by the end of the week.

Meanwhile, I have a Christening shoot this weekend and I need to clear up some of the backlog of pictures I have cluttering up my PC. My efforts hampered by my apparent lack of morning coffee…

Have a good day all…

:sunny: :+1:

It should have been Nephrostomy dressing change day but the expert is still in hospital …I suspect for a while. I’ll have to get in touch with the nurses if it goes a few days more.

I’ve had to do all the things this morning that Mrs mart normally does. Renewed the household insurance, cancelled her Covid and dental appointments. All done now and I feel better that it’s out of the way.

Going with a friend to the hospital later and taking Mrs mart’s manual wheelchair to the ward, plus some other items that ought to make her stay more tolerable. She isn’t much improved so far.

Have the best possible day.

Good morning all

Nice to read @swimfeeders is back home , make sure you stay there now .
Its a lovely sunny day hope it stays that way,

Council have given us a recycle bin for Glass, and a food recycle bin is on the way soon , that will make 5 bins in total.
It will be mayhem on windy days when they are put out , I already get rubbish in my front garden when the bins opposite turn over , Imagine the broken glass all over the road , and rotten food …

And I wonder how long it will be before they start charging for each bin …

When meeting some people from Doncaster on holiday in Jersey, we told them we were going to North Wales for the next holiday. We had got on well in Jersey and they suggested a drive drive across from North Wales to Doncaster to stay a few days.

That was the start of us going there one year and them coming to us the next. This went on for many years until we felt we couldn’t do the driving North/South anymore. They felt the same. Me and he don’t talk so much now but the two wives still have an hour long talk on Messenger every Sunday.

Just a late afternoon report from Wales.
We decided to walk it to Conwy, we do it on most visits to Llandudno, it’s about 5 miles and a nice walk when the sun shines. It was cloudy and cold when we set off, but the forecast promised no rain.
We walked the mile or so to the West Beach and I was feeling cold so I emptied the contents of my rucksack, waterproof jacket hat and gloves, couldnt do anything about the shorts though…
The West Beach is the quieter side of Llandudno…
There are some strange characters living there…

And it gets a little bit remote out of season. A good place to live if you want to move here. If you can afford the properties that is, it’s a bit posh here.

We finally arrived at Conwy after struggling over a couple of mile of rocks and sand dunes. The tide was high and there was so much erosion since our last visit.

The good news is that the clouds blew away and out came the sun while we ate our toasted tea cakes in a little hideaway cafe, but the bad news was that Mrs Fox’s knee was playing up so we took the bus back to the hotel for a kip and a mug of tea with some Tesco’s finest chocolate biscuits.
