Good morning all on what is going to be a repeat of yesterday weatherwise, not a cloud in the sky hence cold nights below 10°. I had to get up at 2am to make a hot water bottle last night.
First thing this morning I filled in the 2026 Census form on line, just to get the damn thing out of the way.
Since the council removed a small tree outside my block I have spent most of the rest of the morning tidying up the area.
What is it with dog owners? Why pick up their dog shit then chuck the full plastic bag away in the street, surely it would be better just to leave the mess and let it rot?
Had to buy some D cells this morning for my doorbell, it actually takes AA cells but they only lasted 5 minutes so I added a battery holder. God knows how many years the cells lasted but all good things must come to an end. Now I have to wait until the AA batteries I temporarily replaced them with expire.
Another whinge the D cells come in packs of four I only needed three

Rest day today with just the Tesco shop early on and now out of the way. I have to decide what to do with the rest of the day, but first, take Rosie the cat to the vet for her annual vaccinations.
Personally I don’t have vaccinations, but I’d be heartbroken if anything happened to Rosie because I neglected her medical care.
Her appointment is 1:15 pm so I’ll continue compiling my list of all the F1 world champs since 1950 until it’s time to go…

Our apple trees didn’t do well this year. One produced no fruit and the other the apples were rotting so just picked the few good ones left although small. the constant hot weather doesn’t help.
