Good Morning Wednesday, 4th March 2026

Good morning all you happy folks, the radio reported the temperature this morning at 6.30am as 21° but the dew point was 20.8° which explained why it felt so humid.

Once it got light I went for my walk and unsurprisingly it was very misty.

However by 8am the sun had burned all that cloud away and it was fairly sunny for a few hours until the cloud returned later though no mist or rain (so far). I noticed that there had been over a mm of rain during the night too, not much but enough to keep the roads wet.

Not sure what the rest of the day holds though, I am having a food free day so lots of coffee.

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning to all the fine people here…

Nice and sunny today, just got back from my daily walk, feed the swans and geese and a quick coffee en route. Now the weather seems to have cleared up a bit, I can think about visiting some of the local parks with my trusty snap-box and grab a few pics. There’s a country manor we tried to get to last year, but we couldn’t get in and now the wife has a coupon for free entry, so maybe think about going there sometime soon and get a few flower pics.

I think I’m supposed to be taking the wife to the gym today, but I think she wants to do housework instead, as it tends to build up quickly. My back garden is overgrown and if it manages to dry out, I’ll be pushing the mower around in the next day or two. Yesterday, I was sat in a bird hide waiting for a kingfisher by a lake, but after three hours, none appeared and the best I could come away with was some pics of cormorants sitting in a tree, which was really a test of some camera settings and offset a bit of boredom. Catching a kingfisher on camera is extremely rare for me and I’ve only managed it a couple of times in the last five years or so. When I did eventually catch it, I won a competition with it, even though I had the wrong lens on at the time. But I’ll keep at it and one day hopefully get the perfect shot.

Anyways…have a great day all…

Not my best stuff…but all I could manage at the time.

Morning all, dull and cold here today.
Done the early morning Tesco shop and if the sun comes out, as promised, I will make a major assault on the garden ready for the green bin collection tomorrow.
So I’ll take up a nice comfy chair by the window and read another chapter of my book until the sun appears…
Happy Anniversary realspeed, I sorta feel sorry for Mrs realspeed…
