Good Morning Campers!

It’s raining, it’s Butlins, what can I say?

It is indeed raining and looks like it will be for a few days. I have spent the morning in doors working on a video that has been driving me up the wall. (I’ll post it elsewhere so you can hate it too).

Yesterday on my way home from the specialist I called into a cafe for a coffee while I waited for the train. I nearly wet myself with laughter.

I have been re-watching the second series of FISK on netflix and the beverage bar was a great running gag. But I never thought such things existed. Sorry about the quality of the pic, I was going to take another with better lighting but they called me for my coffee.

Anyway that is my day so far, hope the weather is better where you are.

Take care…

Morning all…

Bright and sunny here in southern Hampshire. Today we are off to another county fair down in the New Forest. It’s one of the biggest ones around and we always try to go every year. Fortunately, today looks like the one day with decent weather, otherwise it could be wet and the whole place turns into a mud-bath. Usually before that, we’ll stop for breakfast and coffee as I don’t like paying ridiculous prices for food and drink. After that, we’ll probably go for a slow drive through the Forest and see if I can snap any deer that may be around.

Have a great day all…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

I could do with one of those wellness shots , felling really grotty today.

The new mattress is hard to get used to, loads of rules about what you can and can’t do, the Fire Brigade will be coming to do a risk assessment, apparently they are a significant fire risk and because I have one I am also now in the highest risk category.

I can see a battle coming on as I have my emergency oxygen under the bed, as is are the extension sockets for the multiple electrics for the laptop, chargers, remotes and the two fish tanks.

I have had little sleep, the thing keeps inflating and deflating according to my movements or lack of movement and it ripples up and down and from top to bottom.

It is like trying to sleep in a bunk on a small boat in a storm.

My carefully crafted comfort zone with everything to hand is about to be under attack.

Because it is the highest risk specification I will also be having visits from all sorts of people to reassess the house as I am now officially extremely frail.

I am not going to be giving in without a fight.

To top it all off, Kinga i got badly bitten by some small black flies last night.

Very itchy bites they are.

Have a great day all.

Good morning!
A bit cloudy, but dry & warm

I woke up early, feeling a bit cold & sniffly; nothing too bad, just not very lively
Just had a shower which improved things slightly, but not enough to start on anything useful

So I’l have another cup of coffee and see what the rest of the day brings

Good morning everyone, after a cool, grey day yesterday, the sun is out again today, lovely blue sky but lots of clouds still about, the sun is trying to fight its way through the clouds.

I may seem weird saying that it’s been nice having a few cloudy, drizzly, cooler days, I appreciate the break from the hot sun every now and then, as long as this cloudy spell doesn’t last too long. Come on, Summer sun, you can come back now.

Being cooler and cloudy yesterday morning , I managed to go through a stroll in the town centre, it was great walking about in the cool breeze, and not suffering from the heat, for a change.

That looks like an interesting café @Bruce, good way to attract passers-by!
I hope you get used to your new bed soon @swimfeeders, and get everything else sorted for you.

Now I must go outside and sweep up all those little figs off the ground that keep dropping off our fig tree, which has too many branches leaning over into our yard!

Have a great day forum friends.

Good morning all! :cloud:

Blimey… nearly eleven o clock already :open_mouth:
Not much to report today. The faithful old BEKO washing machine has finally given up the ghost after ten years.
I’ve just been measuring up to have a new one delivered and plumbed in. Something a bit more up to date with a touch screen function I think

It seems to have fired up Chilli jnr’s imagination. He wants to take responsibility for doing his own laundry!!!
The drinks are on me people :beers:

Have a good one you lot!

Good Morning Everyone from Foxy’s World… :039:
Rest day today but no rest from the weekly Tesco shop. Went early to miss the crowds and the major refurb of the shop continues apace, so nothing is where it used to be… :017:
I like the challenge…

Mrs Fox has just returned from her walk gagging for a cup of coffee, so we’ll get her hydrated and go in search of some lunch at a faraway garden centre…I fancy Dobbies just off the M1 down Barlborough way (Nottingham) A fast drive on motorways to get there and a nice scenic drive through Robin Hood country and Worksop to return…I always like to do a circular.

What is it about washing machines this year? Mine has gone too! Luckily I have an older, smaller one upstairs in the attic that I’m using at the moment. Yes, the old one which is more than fifteen years old is still functioning whereas the newer one, not!! Typical, just like cars!

I often tell my son to do his own washing when I’m in the “nagging” mood, but then my maternal instinct takes over… :woman_shrugging: He obviously doesn’t believe me anymore when I carry out my threats!

Robin Hood county @OldGreyFox,? Definitely sounds like an enjoyable drive.

Brilliant!
The difference being I have an enthusiastic and willing volunteer, I’ll have to see how it goes. There’s no way I’m entrusting him with my favourite winceyette nightie! :open_mouth:

Sherwood Forest once stretched from Nottingham all the way to the Dales in North Yorkshire Rose.
Nottingham has always laid claim to the life and times of Robin Hood, however, apparently evidence has been found that he actually was born in Doncaster, hence the name of Doncaster and Sheffield airport as ‘Robin hood Airport’ and ‘Loxley’ (from Robin of Loxley) can be found to the North West of Sheffield and is also frequented by an OldGreyFox…

Unfortunately not much longer…
