Good Morning everyone on another day that is a repeat of the several before it. The only difference is that there is a very poor chance of rain this arvo or this evening. Rain is something we desperately need my total is 10mm so far for the whole of April.
Decided to check my trolley tyres because I am planning to take my collection of bottles and cans to the return and earn in the showground - no point in spending $1.50 on fuel for a $4 return. Discovered that one of the tyres was flat, tried to pump it up but it just farted at me and I discovered the inner tube had perished beyond repair. A trip to Bunnings ensued.
My biggest objection to Bunnings is that you cannot go and just buy the one thing you need. I found the new inner tube, then I remembered various electrical jobs I wanted to complete, I wanted a car mount for my phone and just for good measure thought I had better get some more line for my whipper snipper.
A Sunny but breezy day here ,@Bruce , I’m the same when I go to Garden Centres , buy more than I need, I think I must have spent a small fortune over the years , and yet when I look back I have very little to show for it . Having lost Plants to the weather or my Dog or just tired of them and started a fresh .Ive enjoyed looking at them though and planning new ideas .
@swimfeeders Enjoy your trip to the Barbers ,Im sure you will feel like and look like a new man …
Just come back from my daily walk and check up and feed the local swans and geese. It’s a bright and warm sunny day down here by the seaside and we’re in full ‘getting ready’ mode for our cruise on Friday. Looking at the weather for next week, it looks like it’s going to rain pretty much all the time, which is a shame as we have a couple of excursions books, one up a mountain and another on a boat ride in the Fjords. Just been out and bought some waterproof covers for my camera and lenses, but not sure if they will be any good or not, although my gear supposed to be weather-sealed, I’m not going to chance it. I may decide to take my waterproof compact camera which is good for 7 meters depth, but it’s a cheap thing with poor colour dynamics, compared to my ‘real’ one. (I bought it years ago when swimming with dolphins). That said, I’m still deciding what to pack and take with me.
Mrs G, on the other hand, is going through her dresses, trying to decide what to take, what shoes to wear and what bags, jewellery and anything else that will squeeze into the four suitcases were taking (We’re only going for a week!). Presumably I will be taking the kitchen sink as well.
On a slightly different note, I’ve been asked to do a studio photoshoot the week after we get back, so I’ll be making arrangements for that. This is portraiture cosplay thing, which is always fun to do. The other thing is I’m doing a wedding in June, but I seem to be having some issues with the bride who dragging her feet when it comes to planning the shoot - but that’s another story.
