Good Morning Wednesday, 23rd April 2025

Good morning dear reader, it is a wet miserable day. There was 42mm of rain in my rain gauge at 9am (just because we need it doesn’t mean I like it).

I was up early and set off for my walk, remembering to take my umbrella. About ten minutes after setting off I heard this roar and saw a rain squall heading toward me, by the time I got the umbrella up I was pretty well soaked so I turned round and headed for the supermarket to try to salvage something out of the morning. I am sure I have mentioned before when it rains here it really rains.

Bought milk and necessities at Coles before heading home where I had a hot shower and all my wet clothes went into the clothes basket. Unfortunately the rest of the week looks wet along the coast (easterly winds and all that).

Noticed a big fat spider weathering the storm in the garden. It is one of those that builds a massive web across a pathway.

The rest of my day will be spent flitting between the house and the garage I think - just keeping out of the rain…

Have a good one.

Take care…

good morning, evening!

4/22 was Earth Day. The current building handed out succulents.

This one was exceptional. (if anyone have any great insights on how to propagate succulents, please share!!! )

I’m now picturing the spider, which I believe would outsize the plant. Cookies were great!

Its interesting you mentioned rain @Bruce. Hoping to address roof repairs soon. Happy Wed all!!

Cheers!

Succulents are as easy as, break a piece off, stick it in soil and it will grow. It is just about impossible to fail.

BTW that spider is about 100 to 130mm from the end of its legs (4 or 5 inches), they are not dangerous.

Good morning - Nephrostomy dressing change this morning. It can take a while. The day is wet and gloomy at present but forecast to brighten and dry up later. If/when is does, I’ll go for a walk away from the roads over on the local rough ground.

Morning all. Wet and gloomy down in the south of England. Wanted to wash my car today and general clean up…not sure if its worth doing it at the moment. Probably have to take the missus shopping later.

Morning all – heavy rain overnight, not looking good this morning either!

That spider gives me the creeps Bruce! I remember being in Australia some years ago and staying with my nephew – he pointed out a spider which he told me was the most dangerous spider in Australia! I am glad your spider isn’t dangerous (I would still avoid it!)

Nothing much planned for today except a little shopping and housework

Take care – have a great day everyone

Good Morning From Robert’s Residence… :classical_building:
Sorry to hear of everyone’s inclement weather :face_with_hand_over_mouth:
Here in South Yorkshire it’s sunny and warm…(sun shines on the righteous)

Mrs Fox is out feeding the birds and sunning herself in the garden…

I have refrained from exercise this morning and will busy myself fixing the hinge on the back door…It’s allowed the heavy composite door to drop and no bugger can get in or out…

How come nobody wished the English ‘Happy St Georges Day?’

St Georges Day

Ach well, am no English laddie !! Try St Andrew’s or Rabbie Burns…

Nice to see you celebrating that wonderful Greek hero with such gusto.

Actually, Bruce he was born in Turkey!

You mean Türkiye? :icon_wink: I knew he wasn’t a pommie  That must be worth some credit.
