Good Morning Wednesday, 1st July 2026

(Hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes by starting this.)

Good morning all…

Another bright and sunny day here on the south coast.
Can’t believe it’s July already, just where does the time go? Can’t really say too much is going on here, drop off the wife later, run some errands and carry on clearing out some brambles and weeds, which is an ongoing thing at the moment. I still need to finish up tiding up my drive and I have a large tree in my garden that needs lopping somewhen. Trying to convince the wife I need to buy a cordless hedge trimmer as the one we have is huge and really heavy and last time I used it, I almost done my shoulder in. That will be a discussion for later, probably over morning coffee.

Meanwhile, have a great day…

:sunny: :+1:

Hi

Good Morning All.

Yesterday was a really good day for me, felt a lot better, went down on my stroller to an event in the main lounge.

Furthest I have walked for a long, long time.

I am very much like OGF when it comes to not giving in,but this time my body got fed up with me and my intermittent claudication , with is short, acute pains in the legs due to problems with blood flow, did not resolve itself by me stopping moving which it normally does, it got worse.

Sudden acute chest pain, fell down, got a large bruise when my legs just collapsed.

They got me back to bed, where i now am, on the Morphine, which I hate and having to stay in bed for at least 3 days.

Have a good day all.

Morning all – bright start to the day but with some cloud, we had rain last night so I didn’t have to water the neighbours garden

Sorry to hear about that swimfeeders - hope things improve soon

I have made the decision to sack my cleaner – closer inspection of her cleaning showed she missed several things and didn’t do a very good job on what she did clean, on top of that she left ½ hour early because she said she had finished but still charged for 2 hours. So I am back looking for someone reliable who will do the job they are paid for!

Didn’t make it to town yesterday so will go tomorrow – it will mean cancelling the usual meeting with the girls but as several of them are on holiday at the moment don’t think I will be missed!

Feeling a bit under the weather today so won’t be doing much

Take care – have a great day everyone

It’s better now that heatwaves over … I feel alot perkier . I’ve trotted down the village and feel restless. D’you ever get those moods on you where you don’t quite know what to do with yourself?

Sending hugs to anyone feeling under the weather :hugs:

In my case, I believe it’s called “Being retired”. I have absolutely loads to be getting on with, but I just don’t seem to have the time to do anything. The spells of hot weather really not helping either.

They don’t do they … you tend to put things off. Lack of energy and motivation and then you get a little irked at the jobs piling up.
