Good morning chaps and chapesses, a slightly warmer and sunny day today, not exactly warm but at least we are getting toward the end of winter.
Was up early having set my washing machine to do it’s business by 7am so I could get it on the line before I had to go out, because of the recent rain I had a full load ready for it.
Then it was a question of being at Shellharbour for 8.30am for the start of my bone scan. Initially I had an injection but I had to wait for that to permeate through my bones. I just drove home for a couple of hours before returning to be scanned. These machines seem to get bigger and bigger every time I visit. It is all nuclear these days I am probably glowing inside.
Anyway I have just arrived back home after being whirred about by the machine. I will check my washing soon but I suspect it has dried already.
That’s very nice of you to say so SF, I wish it were true. I am just an ex steelworker, ex powerhouse worker, ex telecoms tech, if fact “ex” just about sums me up.
When I got home this arvo I did put my 12v fridge in the back of the car ready for our trip.
The trip is looking a bit dodgy at the moment - it has rained around Oodnadatta and the road is closed except for 4WD and no towing (My car is not 4WD and I am towing a camper).
As I said earlier it is a trip I have attempted three or four times before only to be stopped by rain and the road being closed (when it rains the road, like all dirt roads, is always impassable)
A bright and sunny day here in Cobh, Ireland. This is our last port of call on our cruise, followed by a day at sea and back home. Will wander about for the day and have a special meal afterwards as it’s our wedding anniversary today and a small surprise for my other half.
Nothing to worry about there @Ambre, the injection didn’t seem to have any side effects at all and the machine was quiet not like an MRI machine so I was very comfortable lying down and keeping still.
I presume (but have no idea) that it was a bit radioactive I noticed lots of boxes from ANSTO - (Australia’s only nuclear reactor) - and the referral was for “nuclear medicine”.
Thirty five quid well spent on a renewal yesterday, I travel on the train quite regularly and largely enjoy the experience, I refuse to have the digital version on my phone for several reasons, good old fashioned paper for me thank you very much!
Garden centre today for some bits and pieces. We have three large garden centres within easy reach - one used to be a Dobbies, until they sold out to the company that own the other two, so now they all sell exactly the same things.
Weather is perfect for trotting around a garden centre - not too hot, not too cool, just how i like it!
Thirty five quid buys one third off each ticket, single or return. I’m often hopping down to Brighton, up to London and west to Arundel for example. Or looking at it another way, one third off a return trip to Glasgow is not to be sneezed at!
Good morning everyone, glad to hear you’re all having some rain to freshen up a little.
It’s 12 o’clock here and our temperatures have gone down to 30C, very cool compared to our high 30s /40C of the past few weeks, more correctly speaking the past few months actually, since mid June.
Recent storms have helped a lot, I won’t forget that electric storm we had the other night, continuous, never-ending lightening, night sky completely lit up for hours on end!
That sounds like a good discount for rail travel Chilli, , I wouldn’t get that here!
Well done for the shelf assembly Anise!
At least the machine was quiet Bruce, I remember going through a rock concert during an MRI! It was too repetitive, I was getting bored, not my type of music!
