Good morning one and all, it is a grey, dull, cold day, I doubt it will reach 20°.
Went for my walk as usual early, actually before the sun was up, I was out of the house by 6.30am, the sky looked ominous but it didn’t actually rain, nor has it all morning. Though we got nearly 2mm overnight.
After a quick shower, drove to a nearby servo to pump up the tyres and buy 5 litres of unleaded for my mower, then I drove to Warrawong and the Service NSW place to get my licence up dated. I had to fill in a form but no sooner had I sat down than I was called to the counter. The girl punched a hole in my current driving licence, gave me a receipt to show police if I am stopped and told me my new licence would be posted out. I didn’t even have to sit for a new photo.
I have to say it really bugs me that they no longer print the new licence while you wait, every licenced club can print out a Photo ID card while you wait as the old RTA used to but now Service NSW post it out to you, really annoying. On the bright side there is no charge.
Filled the car up with overpriced diesel ($2.22/litre) on the way home.
Anyway that is my morning so far, have a good one.
the Concert last night was good , It was a full house , and I wasn’t expecting it to run late as it did , 45 minutes later than I told my lift home , But they was there waiting ,thankfully.
Im having a rest day today , making a Roast dinner for my Chauffeur to make up for the late night .
Morning all – yet again another bright start to the day which is now clouding over with rain and strong winds forecast and temperature not expected to get above 13c
Started a new book yesterday afternoon – about one third through it – am a bit annoyed that, so far, it hasn’t explained why and how the hero disappeared at the ending of the last book in the series!
Insomnia was very bad last night – hardly slept at all – wish I could find a solution as it is when I am so tired that the black dog creeps in.
Only plan for today is to catch up on the ironing – how exciting!
I haven’t posted for a few days as I’ve had a slight cold that’s been lingering for ages; not too serious, just feeling sniffly, bleary, and tired
This means I haven’t been to the Men’s Shed for a while, and I haven’t been doing much useful at home, though I did manage a brief shopping trip for milk and other odds & ends, and I’m trying to finish a part read book instead of watching Videos & day time TV
One bright spot is that I received a parcel that I ordered from www.thejapaneseshop.co.uk containing presents for my son’s birthday
The outer packaging was good and the gift wrapping is excellent, much better than I could manage
So if you’re looking for slightly unusual (well for the UK) presents or items in general I can recommend them
