Good Morning Wednesday, 11th March 2026

Good morning one and all. Hopefully this is the nearing the end of these warm humid nights, didn’t get below 20° last night.

Walk as usual early before it got too hot, on the way home called into my PO Box to pick up a couple of books I had ordered.

When I arrived back home my washing machine had finished the laundry I had accumulated over the last wet week as well as my bed sheets etc.

It has turned into a lovely, sunny, warm Autumn day about 31° - the washing dried on the line well before noon.

Even sent up my drone to take a picture.

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

You have a very well organised washing line there Bruce and lucky enough to be able to fly your drone in a residential area.

I will not be using an indoor heated dryer again following the mess the fire made to my house.

Nothing much is happening with the repairs to the house, I am now awaiting a full asbestos survey to be done before the schedule of works can be finalised and the weather is getting much colder the next few days.

I am stripping down the big aquarium, the fish are going to a good home this weekend for a a start, it will then have to be emptied and put up for sale on Facebook.

Have a good day all.

Good morning all! :sun_behind_large_cloud:

An improvement in the weather today, I’m tempting fate and going to put a wash out on the line, all a bit devil-may-care I know :japanese_ogre:
Regulars on this topic might remember I was going to indulge in a little DIY ear piercing. The sterile needles finally arrived from Amazon…

Frankly it was a bit of a faff but persevered and got there in the end. The first hole was not quite right, the second was on target :dart:

All very fiddly when you have to do it mirror fashion! :open_mouth:
Once again pretty much just domestic chores for today.

Have a good one people! :+1:

Good morning!
Cloudy, dull, light rain

Just pottering this morning, then the Men’s Shed this afternoon

Thanks to the current fuss & bother in the Middle East and the resulting forecasts of doom & gloom I went shopping yesterday, to a supermarket and the community shop

I try to keep plenty of food and other items in store so I made sure I was stocked up, without going as far as any serious panic buying
This was mostly shelf stable cans & packets in case any power cuts affect my freezer
Including dried & UHT milk & coffee but, surprisingly for me, no booze!
The community shop had a lot of fruit & veg, some of it free or very much reduced, as was bread, and I took advantage of that

So this morning’s pottering will be mostly sorting out & planning food & meals

Good morning to all the nice peeps on here…

Its a blue sky sunny day here in southern Hampshire for once. It rained heavily during the night, leaving the ground damp and muddy, which means yet another postponement of me cutting my lawn, which is slowly turning into a small jungle.

Not much to say about today, wife has designated today as ‘wash day’ and that means not going anywhere. For me that means doing my husbandly duty of “keeping out the way” and fixing some of the small issues with my PC and other small jobs. Just got back from my walk including feeding the swans and geese on the local waterway and may take a wander to buy some more feed for tomorrow. The only other thing is getting ready to go away for the weekend and my annual trip to the Photography Show with a large list of stuff I’m going to need for later.

Before anything, there’s a small matter of my coffee and biscuits which I’ve not had yet.

Have a great day all…

:sunny: :coffee:

That’s not panic buying, that’s being considered and sensible. I shall be doing the same! :+1:

Ive done same as Zuludog and filled up my food cupboard, just incase theres a shortage or price rise …Ive plenty of Rice and Baked Beans …Rice puddings,…
Tea and Sugar needs to be stocked up too…

The town was packed , Im thinking no one goes to work anymore , and the streets are lined with homeless now looking in a very sorry state , as many females as males begging for change …
