Good Morning Wednesday, 10th December 2025

Good morning all, just warm today with temps in the high 20s.

Took the car out for a drive today to fill up with fuel and get the engine warm to change the oil. According to Isuzu the oil only needs changing every 20000km but that seems far too long to me so I replace the oil and filter every 10000km. The cost is negligible really, less than $80.

Now it is draining - the engine in particular seems to drip oil for ages so I am going to sneak in another episode of Parenthood while I wait.

Not much else planned for today crawling under the car is no longer fun.

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning all…

Hopefully, an easier day today, having had a rushed few days. Mrs G is off to get her hair done, whilst collecting all the local gossip from her hairdresser, who lives opposite us. I’m off to the town to pick up a SIM card for use in the US, after that its sort out travel money and all the usual stuff when travelling abroad, then it’s packing time, with the wife telling me “We won’t be taking much” and the next thing is squeezing in an entire wardrobe of clothes we’ll never get round to wearing, forgetting to leave room for all the things she’ll buy when over there.

Have a great day all…

Good morning - A bright morning and 11C. I’m going to the pub later. Quite an outing after some difficult times. The first pint in ages …but I did have a couple of large Baileys last night.

Have the best possible day.

Good frosty morning from Florida! The fog turned to frost in the night, with the herons and egrets hunkering down on the north side of the marsh. I am watching them take off for work and can’t blame the stragglers who are soaking up the morning sun as long as they can.

I took the day off from running to steel myself for a day of Christmas shopping and running a few things back and forth from storage. I still contend that once every six months, we should have to name what we have stored in attics, basements, garages, sheds, or storage unit, or it’s donated. Unfortunately, someone else in the house disagrees. Sometimes I wish for the days when all we had was a sofa, table, bed, and passports (sigh).

Haha, that sounds like me!

If you have a heavy coat, gloves, scarf, hat, and warm/comfortable walking shoes, everything else is just frosting .

That, my friend, is very well deserved. Have a wonderful time!

There seems to be a theme going on around here. Have fun!

I remember my mom getting ticked off when my dad first forced me under the car to show me how to drain the oil. Her argument was that once he did that, he’d expect me to scoot under the car anytime he needed an assistant, during which I’d get scraped, filthy, and bruised. She wasn’t wrong .

Have a fine day!

It was nice to get out for pleasure, rather than it being for some medical appointment or other. It’s strange but buying beer in a can or bottle and drinking at home is never as good as the beer served from the pump in the pub.
