Good morning all, yet another warm night, it only got down to 20° again.
Nice walk this morning, no sign of rain though we received 7mm yesterday. Posted off my photos on a USB stick to the Seniors mob afterwards.
Have already watched an episode of Homeland just before writing this, don’t usually turn the TV on during the day and certainly not in the morning but it is not very nice out even though it is warmish.
My passport stuff (birth cert etc) has not been reported as arriving in the UK yet, I hope it does soon.
Just had a thought, I might assemble my new carpet sweeper and throw the old on in the bin. Oh! the excitement!
I think you might be in a bit of a wait once your Application arrives @Bruce , but then perhaps some might not want to come to Britain , and you receive it return post .
The skies have some Blue about them which is a promising sign , I ordered some Plug plants for the Garden this morning , Dahlias, which Ive never grown before …They will arrive next month for me to grow on in the green house .
I have no plans for the day ,or this week , no Theatre trip.till 2 weeks time .
A surprisingly nice sunny day here in southern Hampshire. The wife is off to meet with her sister to catch up on all the latest family gossip, which will be relayed to me when she gets home - regardless if I want it or not To be honest, there’s a lot going round with that dippy son of hers causing problems. (long story)
As she’ll be gone for several hours, I am trying to decide if I should take my camera down to a bird hide and see if there’s any kingfishers and birds around, as there sometimes are. Its a bit of a drive to get to it and sometimes it gets busy. At this moment, I’m undecided, so I will let my coffee decide for me.
Morning all – Cloudy start to the day with rain forecast for later (of course it is!)
Yesterday I decided to get the bus into the city centre, spent a few hours wandering around and visiting the new M&S there. I was planning to visit a different shopping centre today but it has been announced the local radio station will be broadcasting from there so have changed my mind as it is difficult to park at the best of times!
I do have a pile of paperwork to sort out but each time I go into the study to deal with it I shake my head and walk back out!
My doorbell has stopped working – I think the battery needs replacing. I can’t remember how to do that so have asked my neighbour if he would do it, he said he would but he has been busy the last few days so hasn’t got around to it – just hope no-one has tried to visit!

Nice and sunny here and enjoyed a saunter along the canal towpath earlier.
Taking a friend and neighbour to Wakefield in about one hour, she doesn’t fancy driving to a place she’s never been before so I volunteered.
Always up for a drive…
I’ve been relaxing with a book just lately while sat in the summer house and getting some sun on me legs, but it’s been a bit cloudy and cold when the sun goes in. Hopefully the next few days will be sunnier…Although it’s green bin on Thursday for the first time this year so I should be digging out the old dead stuff instead, we’ll see how I feel tomorrow. I’m getting itchy feet now the sun is shining and need to do some long walks, perhaps at the coast.
