Good morning everyone. It is supposed to be summer but an Antarctic air mass has blown it’s way northwards, I think they said 20cm of snow fell at Perisher in the Snowies yesterday. All I know is that the temperature is back in the low 20s and I am wearing my cardigan again. However it is is supposed to warm up to the mid 30s by the weekend.
Quick trip to Bunnings this morning to buy the mortar, I need about a quarter of a cup full but the smallest it it comes in is 10kg bags so I will have to look for other patch up jobs
Just waiting for the sun to get round a bit and completely dry out the bird bath (I kept filling it up)
Tomorrow my car goes in for its 150,000km service so that will keep me busy. It’s in the middle of nowhere so I hang about until the job is done. I used to throw my bike in the tray and cycle home but I don’t have the bikes any more.
Grey and misty here today. Not sure what’s happening with me today, I will let my coffee decide later.
The wife is off to a funeral today for some distantly-related relative. She is only going to give support to her cousin, otherwise she probably not have gone - such is the way of family politics. I’m waiting for some stuff to be delivered, assuming it actually comes today. Other than that, I’m at a bit of a loose end.
Good morning!
Dry, sunny, clear blue sky, no frost
I’m continuing with my house tidying - changing sheets & tidying the bedroom, and cleaning the bathroom
Even at the speed I go I should have that done by mid day or early afternoon
Then I can go to the pub with a clear conscience ----
Ooops, sorry! I meant going for a brisk stimulating walk.
Good morning - A sunny morning but the forecast says there are a few showers probable. I need to get some shopping in but might wait until tomorrow. Our daughter arrives then and Mrs mart will be coming home after her 8 weeks in hospital.
The garden needs a sort-out and I think I’ll have a go at it. Normal things are becoming important again. A good sign probably.
That sounds exotic and terrifying at the same time.
Condolences to her, Graham. We say to many goodbyes at this stage of life.
Your dedication to fitness and sport brings a tear to the eye .
You are a braver person than I.
You and I would get along just fine
It’s foul-language cold here today with this ridiculous front ignoring latitudes and sinking fast. I’ve been out shopping for everyone’s attire (or is it costumes?) for my nieces forthcoming wedding. I adore her, but not December wedding which has us searching around for these very odd items known as “dress coats,” whatever those are. The wedding is in two weeks.
The stores are full to the brim, making it easy to shop with so many choices, but I am such a fish out of water in a department store that I found myself exploring more than shopping. Now I am just hanging out in my office, better known as the Oddity minivan, killing time for the next couple of hours, trying not to run the car for heat.
