Good morning one and all. Another pleasant enough day in the mid 20s.
Put all my bedding in the washing machine and got it on the line early.
Then had to wander down to the council community centre where they wanted to do the annual inspection of our licensee areas (four rooms). I told them about the debacle at the head office but that I won’t know anything until later in the month at the annual conference. Phew! painful business.
On the way home went into Big W for a couple of white T Shirts (I have too many grey) and to look at the books.
Just waiting for the grass to dry (it probably already is) when I will get out with the mower and mow the back garden. I did the front and the council’s bit yesterday but could not summon the energy to do my back garden.
So nothing much happening for me today, enjoy your day.
A overcast, gloomy and wet day here on the south coast…
Firstly, the wet weather has again scuppered my plans to cut my lawn, which ideally wanted to get done today. Secondly, a early morning phone call telling me my annual blood test/health check has been cancelled and rebooked for two week’s time due to staff sickness, something else I wanted done today. I am trying to make arrangements for an outdoor photoshoot on Saturday, which is looking more unlikely as the forecast is rain, followed by more rain.
So the only thing left to do today is drink coffee.
Same here Graham, i had plans for more work in the garden, but the weather is awful so it will have to wait for now.
Have to stay in today to wait for the boiler engineer and also a couple of deliveries, so that’s ok considering it’s raining ‘cats and dogs’ out there, i don’t mind at all.
Nothing much else to report for now, so i’ll wish you a very pleasant day - despite the weather!
My car has been repaired
It was a flat battery. The garage fitted a new one and checked over the alternator & charging circuit, so now it’s all OK ready for winter
I’ve decided to keep it as I wouldn’t get much for trade in or if I sold it; it does all I want, and has low mileage
I’ll just get a couple of new front tyres
Now for a quick shower then a dentist appointment early afternoon
Glad only a battery issue and not starter motor so I did guess correctly; It has gone quite cold this afternoon and started to rain,so no chance of blowing up the leaves in the back garden
The idea is to grow them beyond the kiddie seedling stage into small plants. The leaves make a tasty garnish in sandwiches made from the more robust and flavoursome varieties of bread!
