Good morning all, it has been all go for me this morning. Lovely sunny, warmish winters day 23° max today.
Doctors appointment this morning, new prescription for blood pressure and a couple more pathology tests which I got done straight away. Apparently I am anaemic again, I don’t worry about it I was as a child but the doc wants to explore further, I have an appointment in a couple of weeks to review the pathology before I leave for Europe.
Decided to wash some jeans that I am taking with me on my travels, they are clean but haven’t been worn for years (I always wear shorts) so I decided I had better wash them just in case (?) and it is a nice warm day too for drying them.
I also ordered some compression socks from Amazon - my daughter got on to me about the long flight.
Changed those windscreen wipers on my car yesterday and checked the obvious things like the lights for the rego check which I hope to get done in the morning. The rego is actually free (pensioner) and I have already paid the CTP insurance so if it passes it should be automatically registered.
Still a bit overcast here at the moment, never mind sunnier weather is in its way during the next few days

Chilli jnr has already broken up from college, there’s an awards ceremony this evening, drinks served at 6:30.
I’ll be taking some pictures of my son when he receives his.

Took about 5 hours to drive here, no motorways and a couple of stops for refreshments.
Hotel is very nice and our room has got a sea view, surfers were out early this morning. 6.30 am.
Was a time I would have been out for an early morning run…I miss running!

Cleaner arrived a bit early – I am still in two minds about her. Some things she does very well, others are a bit slap-dash. Sometimes she will clean something and then not the next time she comes, she isn’t consistent. I think I will have to give her a detailed account of exactly what I want done.
Local radio seem obsessed with the World Cup – I do wish the England team well, but I really don’t want to hear football fanatics going on and on about their favourite players, who they think should be in the team etc. etc. OK I admit, I am a grumpy old woman!
Not much planned for today – a little shopping and then my (non) favourite job – ironing!
