Good Morning Tuesday 12 November 2024

Good morning to you all on this slightly humid Tuesday.

Of course I took the dog for a walk through suburbia, worked up quite a sweat. It was a bright sunny morning but 60+% humidity is hard to take on a warm day.

When I came home I decided to make a big effort on getting the axle on my camper right, It is slightly off centre and doesn’t track quite right. The dog thought all its Christmases had come at once, me out in the garden for hours leaving him to explore and chase things.

Just finished when I remembered to write this (it is actually about half past one in the arvo here).

Have a lovely Tuesday, take care…

Good morning everyone, great photos @Bruce, looks like a very picturesque place you live in, looks so perfect and clean too . Lovely.

Starting to feel the cold here, rain on the way tomorrow, no more boasting about warm, sunny days, winter’s approaching . My gas heaters is on in the kitchen :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
Sun’s out today though, even if only 11c at the moment. :slightly_frowning_face:.

Off to get my flu jab this morning, our regional health service is now offering it free of charge also to under 65s,so I’ll take advantage, why not? I got the flu bug last year, very badly, bronchitis and all .

Have a great Tuesday forum friends.

Morning all – woohoo – the sun is shining, although the temperatures are only forecast to reach 11c but the sunshine definitely lifts the mood!

Went to Boots for my flu jab yesterday – was impressed they observed the 2 minute silence, was less impressed by the lack of cleanliness! The floors had ingrained dirt and the “consultation” room was cramped, dusty and messy with rubbish in the corners. First and last time I will be getting a jab there! I don’t usually get any problems with either the covid or the flu jab – except a sore arm, but last night I was really sweating (sorry as a female I “glow”), hope that is the last of the reactions!

Plan today is to take advantage of the sunshine and get some laundry out on the line

Take care – have a great day everyone

Good Morning Everyone, nice and peaceful at Foxy’s gaff this morning as I delivered Mrs Fox and friend to Doncaster railway station for their Beverley extravaganza…Mrs Fox with the red case and friend Cheryl in the blue coat…

So parties at Foxes tonight if anyone is interested, bring your own Horlicks…
Lights out at ten, whether you’re staying or not…
Returned home and went for my usual walk/run and broke in a new pair of shoes. I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to shoes and I like to get my monies worth (I’ve got shoes and clothes older than some of the posters on here) but I was having a few problems with my foot, and I think it was down to the old shoes being past their sell by date. Sometimes the cushioning and support goes before you wear out the soles, and you don’t notice till something starts hurting.
So It was out in these bad boys…

What mischief can I get up to now Mrs Fox is away…?
PS:- Nice photos Bruce… :+1:

I would hesitate to call it picturesque but it is funny that you should say it is clean because I have never thought of it that way and have complained long and hard to my kids about litter around fast food places.

However recently I have had videos pop up where recent arrivals from the US and UK have remarked on how clean the place is so may be it is. I wonder if that is because when it rains here it really rains and washes the place clean.

Good morning - A bright and sunny day but a few degrees cooler. We just got back from the town with some general shopping. Travelled on the bus. The bus company has decided to use larger busses on our route, which makes it much easier for us …what with all the shopping trolleys, pushchairs and walkers people use. A good job Mrs mart is such a good and precise driver of her powerchair.

Anyway, the rest of the day is our own. Not sure what else I’ll do.

Have a good day

Really interesting video @Bruce, I understand totally what they mean, especially about people smiling more, it must be all that sun that helps the human spirit . You get this feeling when visiting Naples, about an hour and a half’s drive from where we live, everyone is so much friendlier and it seems like they’re always in a good mood, no matter what, extremely sociable too.
All over the country, we are experts in pot holes though, spoilt for choice .

Good morning from the depressed state of Florida!

No, I am not depressed; we have a tropical depression over us that has decided to overstay it’s welcome.

Unlike you, @OGF, my blue New Balance shoes are sitting in the closet this morning :disappointed_relieved:. I had orthotics made by a podiatrist a long ago that have extended the life of my shoes extensively. I highly recommend them!

I am sure the ladies will have a lovely time, but you really shouldn’t go so berzerk with your frenzied parties while she is away. I really thought better of you, but I am sure the neighbors will reel you in if things get out of control . Honestly, I think these little seperations are good for marriage, so I hope you both have your versions of fun for a few days.

It just goes to show, as I have always asserted, that women are more precise drivers than men .

@Sheila and @Rose2, I wish you luck with the flu shot this year; bronchitis is awful. I have never had the shot, but I have never had the flu either, so I (for now) am betting on my immune system. If I bet wrong, I’ll refrain from the self-inflicted moaning and groaning .

@Bruce, your photos once again remind me of California; it’s lovely! I watched the video and then went back to your photos and agree that your roads are much wider than ours. My brother traveled to Australia quite a bit for work, and his observations were that the fruit and vegetables tasted better, the infrastructure was better, and that the people were awesome. He said he never bought a beer if someone found out he was American, and that he had fast to buy theirs before they figured it out. He said he’s not willing to tell me too much about Oz for fear I would chuck it all for the coast and QLD .

(We waste a lot of dang money in this country).

Alrighty it is lunchtime here, and the dogs are staring at me for the injustice of having to wait a few extra minutes for their treats.

Have a pothole-free day!
