Good Morning Tuesday, 11th August 2026

Good morning everyone, it is a slightly warmer winters day (20°) after the frigid conditions since I have been back, lots of wind last night but all gone this morning.

Wandered down to the club earlier to pay for our senior’s club birthday lunch was tempted to stay for a beer but resisted.

Have been trying to mend a solar light from one of my metal garden birds.

Same old, same old, why they put switches in these things is beyond me, of course the switch had failed but I had to unglue the LED to get the circuit board out, naturally the thin wires to the solar panel broke. Eventually I got it all back together but you have no idea how many times it nearly went through the wall.

Hopefully this arvo will be less annoying.

Have a smashing day.

Take care…

Good morning all

That must’ve tested your patience Bruce ! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I’m meeting a friend for coffee in the park this morning, calling in at the Library on the way back and sewing a new top after lunch, having shrunk a couple of inches I’m finding my tops and dresses all need shortening….

Have a great day

Good morning!
Sunny, warm, no wind or rain

I’ve just weighed myself and I’m the heaviest I’ve been for months at 85,1 kg – Extractum Digit!
And not just losing weight, all the other errands & minor jobs seem to have slipped
So my plans for today are -

Tai chi, shower & breakfast

Shopping at Sainsbury, my most convenient supermarket, and use up a Nectar voucher
I’m not entirely happy with Sainsbury’s purchasing system with all its vouchers, Nectar points, 2 tier pricing, but that’s another story
It’ll do for today

Bus into town to return library books; stay out of the pub

Carry on repairing my leather jacket

Do some sort of exercise - a walk round the park; Canadian Airforce; Exercises For Seniors; there are loads of options, all I have to do is to do them…

I don’t bother about weight , remember it is not size that counts but the weight behind it
Another hot day but we did manage to take the height of a tall bush yesterday. it will take 3 wheelie bin fulls to dispose of

I’m in good shape. Round is a shape isn’t it?
