Good morning forum folks, welcome to the end of yet another month. It is not really very warm maybe 15°?
It has been raining overnight here, 30mm up to 9am this morning, still looks a bit overcast though the sun comes out occasionally.
Went to the Chemist at the end of my street to fetch my prescription once the rain stopped then wandered over to the Vietnamese bakery for some wholemeal rolls to freeze.
The Thursday thrill of putting out the bins for collection in the morning is yet to come.
The ground is saturated after all that rain so I don’t have too much planned for the rest of the day, though I am tempted to dig up the ground for some flag stones I want to lay. We shall see.
I have an Advocate here this morning, an expert in dealing with the legal side of dealing with Local Authorities, Government etc.
She is here free of charge, a Charitable Organisation, partially funded by and appointed by the same Local Authority she is now going to be acting against on my behalf.
So, the Public Health Department of Shropshire Council is going to be acting against the Social Services Department of the same Council.
It is also a sad result of my cognitive decline, previously I would have made mincemeat of them myself.
I am now on so much opioids that I have crossed the threshold for requiring help.
I am fine most of the time, but cannot cope with continued stress.
I find it very frustrating, having to rely on others, I am a very independent type of person.
Have a great day all and make the most of every minute.
Just a quick one today. Yesterday we took a trip to the New Forest and the big county fair and came back exhausted. It was hot, dusty and crowded and Mrs G came back with loads of handbags, purses and other stuff. So today we’re taking it easy, although Mrs G has to take father in law to hospital for tests later. There’s another fair in a few weeks she wants to go to and I may have a chance of another photo shoot in September. Meanwhile, I need to go for my daily walk and morning coffee.
Good Morning Folks…
Cats driving me up the wall…anything that dangles is fair game so it has to be tied up and out of the way (the dangly things not the cat, although… )
She’s a love really and Mrs Fox is her surrogate mother, so it keeps Mrs Fox occupied and out of my hair…
Usual walk/jog along the towpath in nice warm weather, about 20 degrees C that’s more or less Bruce’s winter temperatures.
The jacket potato smothered with baked beans went down a treat at the garden centre yesterday, however, a couple of leaves of lettuce, onion and some slaw does not constitute a salad…
No sight of Robin Hood on the way home though…
I’m lazy. I buy one in a pot from the veggie aiske at Asda and stand it in a biggish teacup and water it from the bottom. It’s going pasat it’s best now but I’ve been snipping at it for 2 months or so now.
I did the same with a bunch of spring onions … bunged them in a pot and now snip away fresh everyday.
