Not much to tell you this morning, no walk for me as it was my seniors’ meeting (I have just finished writing the minutes)
There was nearly 4 mm of rain overnight but none so far during daylight hours however some more rain is supposed to fall this evening and tomorrow but it will be fine for the weekend - I can get my washing done then, hooray!
No idea what this arvo will bring, I will undoubtedly spend a frustrating time looking for that material I have lost.

Yep, another hot day ahead although the temperature is gradually dropping to a more comfortable level. Not a lot going on today, a serious clear out of old junk and chores galore so mundane it is Bruce

Oh, I might have some black and white piccies arrive from the processor today with a bit of luck. That’ll be a welcome distraction, scanning and posting on Instagram, if they come out as I hope of course. The joys of old school analogue photography, you never really know until the prints are in your hand. Actually I quite enjoy the anticipation!

Well, I’ve been indoors with my cold & sniffles for a while, and now I’m doing a few errands in town -
Make a Dentist’s appointment
Get a bank ministatement
Post a couple of birthday cards
Get a haircut
Like many towns, several pubs & shops have closed, but I’ve heard that one of the closed shops has been turned into a mini bar, and that will obviously been investigation
Morning all – amazing thunder storm around 1.30 this morning. I am scared of thunder and lightning usually but this was mesmerising! It rained for about 5 minutes. This morning it is another bright sunny day
Well yesterday’s speaker was supposed to be giving a talk about the work of CAFOD. She was not only a very poor speaker but what it turned into was a diatribe against banks who lend money to small countries and then expect it to be repaid! I assume she expected the banks to donate the money.
I had planned to do the ironing in the afternoon, but as it was so hot I felt that could be injurious to my health! (well we oldies are told to be careful in the heat!)
Recycling was supposed to be collected yesterday but local radio announced that the collections were being suspended because of the heat – won’t now be collected until next week (can you imagine the condition of the food waste by then!)
Today I am off to the usual coffee meet up with the girls
