Good morning all, perhaps we might get a shower today? Still dry at the moment but here’s hoping.
Today was my seniors’ meeting so I am a bit late posting but minutes are done and all is well with the world.
Hard to believe that the end of March is a just a few days away! Time just seems to fly past. Do you realise that next Tuesday is April Fools Day and a third of the year has gone?
Late last night I booked a doctor’s appointment for this arvo. My eyes are driving me up the wall so I couldn’t sleep, they are itching, watering and sore. They have been like this since Sunday, no idea what is wrong, I just hope that the doctor does.
Of course today is bin day, for once I will be putting out my green waste bin with some branches and dead wood I rescued during the week. Will shortly be out making it all fit in the bin. Might not bother with the landfill bin at most it will have one small bag - 90% soft plastic
Have a lovely Thursday.
Take care
Edit - stupid me. A quarter of the years has nearly gone. Getting ahead of myself
A a chill but pleasant misty morning here, the sun is already burning it off. Nothing much planned today, stuff to do at home as ever and I’m going to renew my Amazon Audible subscription. Three months at 99p!
Talking of Amazon this was delivered the other day…
I’ve had a very quick flick through and I’ll probably settle down this evening with a glass of something and start to read it properly. I need to refresh my memory.
Good morning - Grey skies at present but forecast to get warmer with some sunshine. Not sure what the day will bring but no plans for it. @Bruce Hope the eye problem gets sorted out. Watery eyes (in all seasons of the year) have been a real annoyance since I got older. Our daughter recommended Beconase. It has helped quite a bit.
I’m going to finish some cleaning that I didn’t manage yesterday - vacuum the living room floor & clean the kitchen floor
Then a shower and a stroll to the local shops
For the rest of the day into the evening I’ll sort some clothes, mostly trousers -
Summer, winter, what fits and what doesn’t
Good Morning from Foxy’s world…
A day out at Scarborough today to book a hotel for the New Years Eve celebrations. You have to get in quick before all the rooms are booked up. It’s a bit pricey but after the last disappointing one in Harrogate (wot no sea?) it’s worth the extra dosh, and I love the 80 odd mile drive.
It just so happens there is a nice garden centre on the outskirts, good place for lunch.
There are shops just round the corner from the hotel… So I probably won’t get to do much walking, Mrs Fox will be like a dog on heat and it will be impossible to drag her away…
In the absence of my new phone I’ll take the camera and get a few pictures, although I’ve got more pictures on the laptop of Scarborough than the East Coast tourist board…I’ll try to make them interesting like a naked run down the beach and into the sea…
Perhaps not, the sea temperature is not much more that 7 degrees C…and what with my bad heart…
Sunny day here all my plants potted up , now waiting for them to grow again and fill out the pots…
Just had a Mothers day Parcel arrive , not opened what’s inside , keeping it for Sunday ,
I think I may have a go at securing the ceiling paper which is coming down .The steam from the shower gets in and lifts it …
My walks with the dog are getting longer of an evening now lighter nights are here …Last nights walk was diverted from the field we was going to walk in , Farmer Giles has been muck spreading , how dare he !!
We followed a trail of Muntjac deer foot prints for a while , looked like an Adult and young one …They are getting quite common round here .
We see the same 4 Hares in the same field most times we go , Farmer Giles now put a metal gate across to stop Lamping , wheel tracks are common on the fields so its easy to see where they been .
The gate also stops fly tipping, a Sofa and Chair. was the last to be dumped …
Thats the end of todays rural report ,
Have a pleasant day all .
Ps I love Scarborough and Bridlington @OldGreyFox , not sure I want to see any naked runners though , so keep your pants on .
Good afternoon everyone, another rainy day here, according to forecasts, we won’t get to see the sun until Sunday - oh, I just noticed the pun, not intentional
So I thought I’d post a colorful picture of a dish I made for lunch, meatballs in tomato sauce. This is the 2nd course, the 1st course was pasta “drowned” in the tomato sauce! An all-in-one.
Buon appetito to anyone who may be having lunch at the moment.
Thanks @Chilliboot, I’m afraid not, I didn’t use fresh tomatoes, just half a bottle of tomato puree from my local supermarket. I cooked it in extra virgin olive oil and half a clove of garlic. No other ingredients necessary because the meatballs already contained quite a few: parmesan, egg, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic.
Your meatballs in tomato sauce looked so colorful and delicious!
It was raining here in Bangkok yesterday too. I was driving to get a massage, but there was an accident on the expressway, which caused a big delay.
I arrived almost half an hour late.
I hope you enjoyed your meal yesterday.
Thank you @Pimmy.
Sorry about your delay, I hope there were no serious injuries in that accident.
It’s been raining here too, every day, all day, since Tuesday, we have to wait until Sunday when it will finally stop.
