Good morning everybody on what has turned out to be lovely springlike weather (and so it should spring is less than a week away)
It has been a very busy morning for me, seniors meeting and AGM so two lots of minutes to write up and then our head office had to be informed about the committee, about our meetings, motions etc, I thought it would never end at one stage but now life is back to sweetness and light.
I have just finished putting the bins out, the fortnightly recycling bin is today too but mine has bugger all in it whereas my land fill bin is probably 2/3rd full for once.
Did you know that shredded paper has to go in the land fill bin? I didn’t and have always bunged it in the recycle bin but apparently the shredded paper stuffs up the machinery that is used to sort the recycled stuff out. Unless you employ a specialist shredded paper recycler (as businesses do) it goes in landfill. Ho hum.
Today we planned to visit a local stately home, as we have free entry tickets. Unfortunately, it’s raining and the wife doesn’t want to trudge around gardens getting wet and muddy. The other problem is the tickets expire today. So we are officially at a loose end today and have no idea what’s happening. May go for a coffee later.
Strange start to my day today. Phone call from one friend regarding ordering eyeglasses. Phone call from another friend saying she saved newspaper with detailed article about Town Meeting over AI/Data centers, my pic asking several questions to our representative. More quotes from me ( gee, I sounded so intelligent ).
Will do laundry this afternoon, then friends are picking me to go to a special dinner for seniors this evening. It’s located on the edge of a lovely river where geese, ducks, deer and wildlife languish. I hope to get a few pictures. Also, the appetizers and meals are delicious. Looking forward to a very pleasant day!
