Good Morning all, there is definitely an Autumn chill in the air as I move further south.
I am in NSW staying in the town of Bourke, I was surprised by the number of feral goats along the side of the road, I must have seen 100s of them, There were heaps around Broken Hill when I was last there but I don’t particularly remember seeing so many in this area.
There is a good market for goats, their meat and milk if you could be bothered to catch and breed them.
The weather has clouded over as I hit the edge of the weather system causing the terrible flooding rains that have hit the NSW mid north coast. I hope I am going to skirt around the worst of it but am expecting rain from tomorrow onward.
Morning all – sunny start to the day, although a little cloudy and cooler
Cancelled the gardener yesterday because the forecast was for heavy rain – it didn’t rain until last night! I changed it to Monday but have now realised Monday is a Bank Holiday so I will have to check whether he will still be coming! My poor garden is looking very neglected
My neighbour is calling in around 9.30 to do a little more work on the damp patch I have in my porch – I am not a morning person so hopefully he won’t require therapy later!
The usual Thursday coffee get together today then some shopping, followed by more batch cooking to restock the freezer
Morning all - Rained heavily last night, but its drying up under the warm sun.
Not sure what’s happening today, I have some things I need to go through about our cruise booking for next month. Sort out some bank details and bills. Apart from ferrying my wife to the gym, not much else going on down here in southern Hampshire. Maybe go for my walk and have a coffee later on.
Good afternoon everyone, quite sunny today but those dark clouds all around us just won’t go away, haven’t seen a clear blue sky for weeks!
Despite the rail strike tomorrow, my son and I have decided to “fight the battle” and stick to our travel plans! Yes, we’re leaving tomorrow morning, to visit my daughter in Verona for the weekend. Fingers crossed, hope we don’t have too many delays, I’ll just have to keep calm and imagine we’re going on an adventure trail!
I have just checked the NSW “Hazards near you” and “Live Traffic” apps, the roads are looking good for me for the next couple of days though some rain is a distinct possibility (the first rain I will have seen since I left at the end of April!).
On Saturday morning I will probably set off at stupid O’clock to get home as early as possible but it is over 400km and I will go through the Blue Mountains and the outskirts of Sydney - both are my least favourite driving experiences.
