Good Morning Thursday,12th February 2026

Good morning all you happy folks, a much cooler day today, only in the mid 20s, in fact it rained at some period during the morning.

I was in my seniors meeting so I still have minutes to write up - when I got out it was dry again.

I received a letter from the council yesterday complaining that i wasn’t mowing the grass at the side of my block saying that I had to ensure safe pedestrian access. I wrote back telling them that there was very safe pedestrian access (with photos) and that the reason it was not being mowed was entirely due to the council’s intransigence.

Also I wrote to the State Premier condemning his support for the violent police at the weekend rally outside Sydney Town Hall.

Bin day tomorrow I am hoping to squeeze a few more branches into my bins befoe I put them out.

Have a terrific Thursday.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

Another wet day ahead, everything is sodden.

Forensic Fire Investigator here this morning.

Kinga has 2 hours here early on, got to unpack and put my clothes away in the conservatory, getting clothes and bits from the Salvation Army, lovely people, giving me a pack that they do for people in urgent need.

Lounge needs organising and then I have two deliveries arriving from Amazon.

Hoping to get the Calor Gas heater set up and working before it gets below zero tonight and tomorrow.

A very busy day and I am not feeling great.

Have a lovely day all and stay safe.

Good morning!
A bit cloudy but dry & mild

My flu bug continues to improve, and although I’m wearing a fleece jersey, which is more or less standard for me, I think this is the first day since Christmas that I haven’t also worn a second one or a fleece waistcoat or a body warmer or something

However, it has left me feeling weak & tired, so I’m still doing cleaning & tidying that I thought would have been done by now
Oh well at least it is being done, even if it is at a slow rate

Good afternoon all!

Chilli jnr has not long left for college, quite a short day studying art and design which he is not only excelling at but enjoying. Level three is actually quite intense.
I’m thinking of enrolling on the course myself, as a mature or perhaps more likely decrepit student! :open_mouth:

Just popped over the road to the convenience shop for a few essential goodies, making a very hot Quorn chilli tonight…:hot_pepper::hot_pepper::hot_pepper::radioactive:

And of course something to help put out the fire…

Any excuse! :+1:

Enjoy the rest of your day people! :slightly_smiling_face:

Morning all…

Went for my daily walk this morning and it decided to pour down as I was half way round and spent half an hour in shop doorway until it eased off a bit. Came home totally soaked, by which time it stopped. Wanted to visit the swans and geese with some feed, but the whole place is a muddy bog and thought better of it as the wife wouldn’t appreciate it coming home covered in mud.

Just got back from dropping off the missus at the gym and maybe to a bit of shopping later when I pick her up.

Have a great day all…

I am always writing to MPs, I am sure they just ignore me.

Am now waiting to hear if the council will say anything after I refused to change my mowing habits.

I also complained to them about a manhole cover in the footpath (on my walk, not near me).

They emailed me saying it wasn’t their problem and gave me the NBNs number to report it to them. It is their bloody footpath, they were the ones raving about pedestrian footpath safety in their letter, they had the NBNs number why didn’t they ring the NBN??
