Good morning on this slightly damp Sunday. It is warm enough (mid 20s) but overcast.
Didn’t go for my walk this morning because it was wet out, I did make a quick trip to the supermarket for milk and rice. Had 2.5mm of rain overnight, not enough but it is getting there.
…ready for freezing. When my kids were at school I just used to put the whole loaf in the freezer because it only lasted a few days but I have found that if I do that living alone, constantly removing it to get a couple of slices meant the last half of the loaf had welded itself together by slightly unfreezing and re-freezing.
Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.I have just had breakfast brought to my room for me., bacon and cumberland sausage sandwich with a coffee.
Life in a hotel is very smooth, but missing a view out and a smart TV, all I have is Freeview and the usual pay for adult channels you get in a hotel.
The news here in the UK is depressing, loss of faith in our Political
System and the Royal Cover ups about Andrew rumble on.
Today being a Sunday, the morning TV is always chat shows about Politics and at the moment Andrew and Fergie, more so called experts talking down to the populace, but looking forward to the weekly Satirical shows this evening.
Yet another damp and grey day here in darkest southern Hampshire.
Not to much exciting going on today, probably go out for a coffee shortly and later it’s a family get together on what would have been my father in law’s birthday, having passed away last year. Only yesterday was his house sold for less than the asking price and once the conveyancing and whatnots been sorted, his remaining assets to be divided up to those left in his Will - and already the family arguments have started between his immediate ‘blood’ family and his step family when he married his second wife. To be honest, they are not the nicest of people and hopefully we will be rid of them once everything gets finally sorted.
I saw the sun. for a few seconds this morning before it went back behind the clouds ,
I have no plans for today , a Theatre trip in the week to look forward to.
@Graham relatives do descend like vultures when they get the smell of money, never see them before hand , Hope the will don’t get contested or it will be a long drawn out affair .
@swimfeeders Breakfast sounds nice ,making me feel hungry.
@Bruce I alway split my loaf in half ,taking half at a time and I don’t use so many freezer bags
Grey and overcast here in West Sussex, at least it’s not raining…yet!
Just popped over the road to the Indian grocery to replenish our supplies of fresh chillies.
Some will go into the fridge, some will go into the freezer.
Oh, and that’s Indian ginger to the right, smells gorgeous, a bit more potent than yer average ginger.
I use in in our masticating juicer…big word for a Sunday morning!
