Good Morning Sunday, 2nd August 2026

Good morning to you all on a fine, sunny, cold Sunday.

I have been doing things this morning that needed sorting out. Most of the time I have been scanning old photos to send to my brother, it is surprising how long it takes.

Still not over jet lag woke again about 3am and could not get back to sleep, so I fired up the computer and downloaded Ann Droid to watch later.

Spent a bit of time rewriting the batch file to get photos off my TZ110 camera, for some reason, in combination with Picasa, it puts photos in the wrong folder so a batch file is better (and faster).

Got my drone out this morning too, might fly it later.

Apart from those rather tedious tasks my morning has not been particularly interesting, I suddenly realised that my trip to Oodnadatta is only about 6 weeks away, I need new tyres and a re-grease of my camper bearings.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care

Dry and dusty on the lane this morning, a bit cool at the start, but very warm after jogging half way around. Incorporating a few fast sprints delivered a fast overall time.
Plenty of berries on the trees makes me think that Autumn is just around the corner, and the sun is setting at 9:00pm so shorter days are on their way. Everything in the country seems to be happening earlier this year, most of the corn and barley has already been harvested.

My Gladioli are falling over, so today’s job will be finding some canes and propping them up.

Good afternoon everyone, hope you’re all doing well. Glad to se you safely back @Bruce.

It’s hybernation time at the moment for me, another boiling hot day at 40C, no going outside until it gets to a “cooler” 35c at around 8 o’clock!
I’ve got my A/C on, so managing to get by. I didn’t use it at all last year or the year before, I thought our Summers were getting cooler but no, here we are again!
Not complaining though, Summer is short so I can put up with it, it’s the long winters I hate.

Not doing much cooking these days, lots of salads on my menu.
We may get a thunderstorm this evening, a bit of rain would be useful but apparently temperatures are staying put, right where they are!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
