It is hard to credit how fast time seems to fly as you get older, it is Autumn and the third month of the new year which only seemed to start the day before yesterday
It rained a few mm overnight but was dry for my morning walk, on the way home I called into the supermarket for milk, some cheese and cake.
Just watched an episode of Homeland but am getting ready for tomorrow’s coffee and cake as well as a visit to the seniors’ centre.
Ive just done my online shop ,nothing special.
Today Im having Sausage and mash its been a while since I had sausage .
Went a short walk yesterday by the River Trent Ive never seen it so high or wide , fast flowing too .
It flows through my Village , but Im on high ground those on the lower ground in the Static Home site will probably have to take refuge off site .
I shall go and look from the Cliffs a safe place and dry .
More rain predicted and breezy , but temps are climbing to 15c this coming week.
Good morning!
Blue sky with some cloud, but mostly dry & sunny; in fact, a nice spring morning
I was up early and have already done Tai Chi and last night’s washing up
My flu bug has hopefully cleared up, and my tiredness & weakness is improving considerably, so generally I’m feeling brighter and looking forward to doing something useful
In fact I’ve already started - I have a big padded jacket with a hood - are they still called parkas?
That’s already been packed away in a wardrobe, and when I finish this Post I’ll do some vacuum cleaning, as I’ve hardly done any housework for the past couple of months, just the minimum
That’s bound to bring on heavy snow & freezing temperatures in a couple of days time …
Besoeker
There is a very quick way to get rid of a headache and costs nothing. What you need to do is remove your shoes and kick a brick wall as hard as you can. It is truly amazing how the pain goes from the head to the feet
And it’s raining yet again here on the south coast, which means I can’t go for my daily walk. Not sure what’s going down today, may go for a fry-up breakfast later. If it clears up a bit, may go for a walk along the sea-front. Other than that, I have no idea.
Morning all – a damp start to the day with rain forecast for most of the day
The birthday celebration for my neighbour went well yesterday and I finally got to meet a lady who lives a few doors away – she is also a widow and we had a lovely chat.
Messaged my brother to say I expect he is pleased I left when I did as all flights in and out of Dubai were cancelled and I would have had to stay with him longer – his reply, he would have joined up and gone to war to prevent that happening (it is nice to have a sympathetic and loving brother – wish I had one!)
Good Morning from South Yorkshire…
It seemed a bit grey and overcast when I started this mornings walk, but by the time I reached the canal towpath the clouds were breaking up nicely and out came the sun.
I’m sat writing this with the sun streaming through the kitchen window on to my back. Time to go and sit in my chair outside and put some colour on my legs…A good book is optional…
Mrs Fox went to do a tabletop sale with her friend yesterday while I drove out to a faraway garden centre for lunch…
I don’t think Jeff Bezos has anything to worry about, she sold one coat for three quid, bought a breakfast from the cafe next door £6 and a nice pair of silver earrings from the bloke on the next table £5…And it cost her and her friend £10 for the pitch…
Another dismal day weather wise, it is looking much better tomorrow, full on sunshine, a trip to London I think!
I’ve just popped over the road to the local shops which is about as far as I intend to today. Picked up some spicy Indian snacks to go with DVD watching time this evening…
Sigh feeling fed up with with all this windy rainy weather.
Already eaten the toasted teacake I was saving for later and a Kitkat …. bored rigid .
Gunna have to tough up and go out in it , can’t allow myself to watch pride & prejudice for the hundredth time
Those spicy yummies look good Chilli
