Good morning on this fine Sunday morning, not too bad for the first day of winter, temperatures have just sneaked into the ow 20s…
Went out for a lovely meal last night at the local Thai place with my daughter, even better - she paid. She arrived at my place at about 7.30pm after spending the day subjecting her Jimny to things no car should be subjected to. It was covered in mud.
This morning she replaced the damaged tail gate on my car with the secondhand one she had bought for me, I was very pleased with that. She and the dog have just left to go home to hubby in Canberra.
While she was working on my tail gate I got the laundry done (well, the machine did) and on the line (I did that bit)
Not sure how I will spend this arvo but I might just sit outside and enjoy the sunshine
Morning all – overcast this morning and windy although the sun is trying to break through
Spent a lot of time yesterday chasing off a magpie which keeps attacking the bird feeders – it bullies the smaller birds so they can’t get to the food and tries to dislodge the feeders!
I was in the middle of breakfast this morning (9.45) when my neighbour arrived, he wanted to check whether the wall where he had dealt with the damp patch needed another coat of paint. He decided it did and worked away while I finished my breakfast!
Today’s plans are to iron the clothes I washed yesterday and then start a new book – oh what an exciting life I lead!
Good Morning Everyone…
Struggled a bit on this mornings walk/jog. I intended just to walk my 5 mile route, but once I hit the lane I couldn’t resist getting up on my toes. Regretting it now though.
Pork chops are simmering in the oven and smell wonderful, looking forward to the Spanish F1 later so don’t tell me the result…
The bottle of red Mrs Fox has selected from the cellar will probably send me to sleep later…
I seem to be having more rest days than actually doing something days…
I wish I could be more adventurous with boutique beers but I always end up with either Tooheys New, Carlton Draught or even XXXX. My son and son in law are always onto these beers but I always revert to my common garden old favourites
