Good Morning Sunday, 16th November 2025

Good morning (ish) to every one or more accurately G’day.

Headed further west today just under 300ks to Goolgowi, a little town with a General Store, one pub and a club.

Another Council caravan park but of course the council is closed on a Sunday so looked after by the Ex Services Club. When I went to pay I felt obligated to have a beer while I was there. I even got a 10% pensioner discount - on the caravan site not the beer.

Warm but windy for the last two days. Its about 29° at the moment.

I actually saw something on my bucket list today. The Giant Tennis Racket at Barrellan the birthplace of Evonne Goolagong… Bucket list is far too strong a word but it was on a list of things I hadn’t seen. I’d forgotten about it until I spotted it as I drove past.

Anyway am about to think what I am going to have for an evening meal. I had hoped to eat at the club but their buffet is not open on a Sunday.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Take care…

Morning all…

Grey and cloudy start to the day here on the south coast. Nothing too exciting going on here. May go for a breakfast/coffee later, possible go to look at some Christmas decorations. Bit of a quiet day today.

Have a great day all…

Good trip Bruce, and wish I lived there.
Mrs Fox caught a cold off a neighbour who visited recently, she was coughing and barking all over the place. The neighbour, not Mrs Fox…But it was inevitable that after three days it had claimed Mrs Fox. And three days after that, it has claimed me. So I’m sat here with runny eyes and nose, and feel decidedly wobbly when I try to stand up…
It doesn’t seem all that long ago since I was jogging down a hot, dry, dusty lane brushing the flies away…
We’ve just had two days of torrential rain (70mm or just under 3 inch) and the forecast is for some cold wintery weather blowing down from Iceland bringing snow to Scotland and the high ground in Yorkshire.
I was due to attend a memorial service at the church with Mrs Fox, but I’ve been informed the boiler at the church has packed up, so I decided that the next memorial might be for me if I go and stand in a freezing cold church…A friend has kindly offered to take Mrs Fox…
I’m going to find the Hot Lemons now and sit in front of the telly…

Good morning!
Bright, sunny, clear, and dry

I’m not feeling too lively this morning as I fell victim to my latest trick … though that’s probably the wrong word, let’s say habit

I went to bed about 10 last night but woke up about 1-30 in the morning and couldn’t get back to sleep so I made a cup of tea and looked at YT videos for a while then got back into bed about 03-30
Then woke about 09-30 and got up but all I’ve done so far is have a couple of cups of coffee and sat about
This is annoying as I have jobs to do but at this rate by the time I do feel like starting anything half the day will be gone.
I really must get out of this habit.

Hi

A bit late, but better late than never.

Another one here with a bad night sleepwise.

My leg started to leak badly again, with a significant patch of skin coming off, so not good and somewhat messy.

Huge delays at A and E with the resident Doctors on strike and don’t fancy the idea of affecting other patients waiting with me leaking nastiness over the floor.

A lot going on today, Shiv has been picking a large load up from Toolstation for me for the leaking roof and shed to be repaired, a couple of hefty local lads in need of money doing a lot of work in the side passage and sheds.

Thank goodness for young lads who need money to date girls with, they do work hard.

The only downside being that as soon as the girls appear the lads disappear.

Enjoy your day folks.

Good morning from this fellow!

It’s a beautiful day out; nice enough that my son and I are going to take the dogs to the trails. That tends to blow my running since their noses determine the path, but they well-deserve a little fun with the temperatures finally cooled down enough for them not to burn their paws.

@Bruce…I hate to tell you but your little bucket list is even Steven, because now you’ll have to visit Borrega Springs, California:

Thanks for today’s travel log, @Bruce. You have us exploring places, we will surely never have the likelihood of visiting. I am guessing that you keep plenty of basics in the back of the teardrop to prepare a meal when eatery doors are nailed up tight?

I’m sorry to read that you are under the weather @OldGreyFox. I hope you can find something on television that’s entertaining enough that it doesn’t make your condition worse ! (I wore out the scrolling button on the remote last night before giving up. )

We should form a Middle of the Night thread, as your new trick is one of my rebellious brain’s favorite games :face_with_spiral_eyes:. I was up at 3:20 and read until 5:00.

Isn’t that a contradiction of their oath? I was reading about strikes in the U.S. They are rare and isolated to individual hospitals, but If one is intelligent enough to become a physician, one should be intelligent enough to negotiate demands without putting patients at risk.

I hope SOMEONE patches you up and gets you home comfortably.

If love makes the world go round, I suppose a lack of it tends to put on the brakes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That sounds like such a relaxing day! I confess though that the word “Christmas” this early puts me in a state of panic…

Hi Surfer

Apologies if I misled you and others.

I am at home, didn’t go into hospital as I don’t want to either get infected or infect others.

I also do not want to die unattended in a trolley in a hospital corridor with no call bell.

A situation which has already happened to me.

Thank you for being you, you are a joy to know.

That is a relief, @swimfeeders. You seem to be surrounded very conscientious helpers at home.

:hugs:
