Another wonderful morning, hope all is well with you on this sunny Sunday - another 30° day.
Today is the annual Bathurst 1000 race, something I have watched since Moses was a boy and as soon as I have finished writing this I shall be turning the TV on to watch the start of the great race.
I don’t follow the series any more since they became “Supercars” because they are no longer real cars, they are like those NASCAR cars, fake cars that only look like real cars. The only difference is that they are racing over a mountain and the drivers have to learn to turn the steering wheel left and right.
I no longer watch the whole race just the start, finish and the progress reports each hour, it is not the race it used to be. Too safe, the first time I went in the 1960s (it was the Hardy Ferodo 500 then) a driver had to be rescued from drowning in a dam, now it is all concrete walls and safety cars.
That will take me up to 5pm(ish) this evening so I won’t get too much done today, probably a bit of cleaning the bathroom etc.
Next weekend I will be in Canberra looking after my Grandkids and their dog.
Bit of a busy day today. Loads of things going on, but the main event is I’m doing a photoshoot at a Christening. I also have to do some graphics for my Father In Law’s funeral service in a couple of week’s time, which has to be done sooner rather than later.
So to start the day with some energy, we’re off to the local supermarket for breakfast and a gallon of coffee.
