Good Morning Saturday, 7th November 2026

Good Morning all on this strange weekend.

At the moment the temperature is in the very high 20s but will plummet in a few hours time to the high teens as a Southerly Buster comes though, currently it is just north of Ulladulla.

Been a busy boy this morning, finished off my mowing (just the back garden) when a message came through on my phone telling me that a couple of items I ordered yesterday were ready to be picked up. Drove to the store to get them.

Kings is a funny store they have bargains and I really mean bargains if you keep looking and can wait. This solar blanket was cheaper than the 120 watt one just because it has the extension lead with it (which I don’t actually need). I once bought two ground sheets there for less than it cost to buy one (I gave one to my daughter), As I say they are a weird store specialising in cheap but serviceable products.

Anyway that was most of my morning, I did a bit of spraying with the cheap Chinese Roundup and am now looking forward to a beer. Cheers!

Enjoy your day.

Take care…

Good morning all…

The weather here on the south coast is patchy cloud and mild.

We’re off on a little drive today, the wife getting fed up with house stuff wants to go shopping for decorations and somewhere to get a nice lunch. I’ve been spending a lot of time post-processing the pics I took during my studio shoot I did the other day and it’s going to take me weeks to get through them all, plus I’ve been invited to participate in another shoot, which I may have to turn down. We are starting to get ready for our trip away in a few weeks and there’s a lot to do in the meantime, as we won’t have much time before Christmas when we get back.

Before everything, it’s time for my morning coffee. Have an amazing day all…

:coffee:  :+1:

Good morning!
Cloudy & dull, but dry

I haven’t posted for a dew days as I’ve been feeling tired and nothing much has been happening

Though I did manage a shopping trip to ASDA, a store I hardly ever go to, to see what it’s like now and add to my stash of Be Prepared food
So now my kitchen cupboards are full and I have 3 carrier bags of food in the corner of my living room
I won’t bother going to ASDA again

My plan for the weekend is to tidy up the bags and try to pack them away or at least make them more presentable
I continue to make progress with eating out of the fridge - freezer so I can give it, and that corner of the kitchen a good clean

Morning all

Still very mild with a little sunshine today

It’s always interesting to hear how fellow members are and how they will be spending their day, I hope you feel better later on and get those bags sorted zuludog

I’m feeling quite lazy so will probably have a day at home, I don’t buy a newspaper at the weekend as they mostly feature sport, holidays and gardening, but a neighbour always puts the Saturday Mail in my letterbox and I do enjoy reading that

Whatever you are doing, I hope you all enjoy your weekend :grinning:

Morning all!

A lovely chilly morning here, nothing of any consequence planned :+1:
I’ve just been over the road to the shops armed with a short shopping list issued by Chilli jnr the curry expert! :+1::yum:

The spice draw/rack needed to be replenished with some essentials

Just as a matter of interest (or not) the above are nothing like the Mediterranean bay leaves that we know and love. These have a cinnamon and cardamom flavour, great in Indian cookery!
Oh , I deviated from the shopping list slightly :slightly_frowning_face:

Comes in little bottles but strong and flavoursome, one is enough, makes regular Guinness taste like water!

Have a mellow Saturday people! :sunglasses::fallen_leaf::maple_leaf:

Morning everyone (just)

The good news is i have my central heating back and functioning again, just in the nick of time before it really gets cold.
I have a couple of electric heaters which are fine, but central heating is so much better in my opinion.

The bad news is i have a bit of a health hiccup at the moment, which the hospital are sorting out,
so hopefully they can get me back on track before Christmas - fingers crossed.
It means i have to curtail my movements a bit for now - no climbing mount Everest, that sort of thing!

It’s now afternoon, so i hope you all have a very pleasant one.
Take care.
