Good Morning Saturday, 7th March 2026

I had a dog to take for a walk this morning so I was pretty happy with that, currently she is lying by my feet as I type.

My grandkids are far too busy to be taking much notice of me on yet another humid day - 21° last night, max of 28 today not much of a range, just steamy getting a bit fed up with humidity to be honest.

Repotted a couple of Thai red hot chilli plants, might keep them in pots and hope they survive the winter.

Not sure if we are going out for a meal tonight or whether we will get food in.

Anyway have a wonderful weekend.

Take care…

Morning Bruce!

Have you thought about cutting them back and removing any manky old foliage?
They should be fine on a windowsill.

They are not that big I planted them very late in January. because I only found and bought the packet of seeds then.

I had about four plants that survived three or four winters in the garden before the cold killed them.

The supermarket ones don’t cut it but I forgot to save some seeds last time.

I dried the chillis then ground them up they are the best I have come across

Good morning all!

Working today, had my caffeine fix so it’s time to bull up my “dainties” in readiness for the shift…

Looking forward to getting home and loosely planning something for tomorrow, some live music perhaps? :sunglasses::thinking:

Have a good day people! :+1:

Morning all…

So the weather has taken a turn for the worse. I was hoping to have the lawn cut and visit a country manor for some pics, but the drizzly rain has put a damper on all of that. The current plan for the day is breakfast and coffee somewhere and maybe wander to the local shops and see what’s about. Nothing too exciting. If the weather clears, may go for a walk along the beach.

Have a great day all…

Hi

Good Morning All

Very chilly here with a brisk breeze.

A difficult few days again, my heart has been playing up again, a sudden drop in blood pressure caused me to stumble, managed to destroy my glasses, I am in one of the areas affected bynslow Royal Mail delivery which is causing problems with quotes etc for my Insurance Claim.

Life is never boring chez moi.

Have a good day all.

Morning all – overcast, damp, miserable start to the day.

My neighbour forgot I had asked him to change the battery in my doorbell and I actually managed to do it myself! (YouTube is good for something). They are now off on another holiday – this time cruising around the Caribbean. The beast has been put in a cattery for 2 weeks and I will only have to take care of her for 2 days before they get back

While I was away I lost quite a bit of weight (I didn’t have access to all the snacks I eat when I am at home!). I was clearing out a cupboard yesterday and found some clothes which I had packed away because they no longer fitted – tried them on and I now have 7 more pairs of jeans and trousers!! The trouble is I have started snacking again – must try not to as I don’t want to put the weight on again!

Had a gas engineer call yesterday to service my gas fire – he did a very thorough job and even explained why it was not working properly and pointed out how to switch the pilot light on and off! (I didn’t know before and used to leave it on all summer)

Only thing planned for today is housework (boring) also have to wait in for a parcel – wish delivery companies would give a set time for delivery – rather than morning or afternoon!

Take care – have a great day
