Good morning everyone who follows. Not too bad for a winter’s day.
No rain promised again so I did my washing, so it is on the line as I type, it is a bit windy.
Apart from that this promises to be a very dull weekend, I have no visitors coming, it’s a long weekend so double demerit points on the road, I could make a visit to Bunnings later to make up for the very unsatisfactory one earlier in the week. It is also possible that I might find something to do in the garage too.
The wind is picking up in preparation for tomorrow’s Antarctic blast (it is the second one this week). Snow is predicted to fall at elevations over 1000 metres as far north as the Queensland border. Not happy Jan.
Morning all. Looks like thundery showers forecast for southern Hampshire today.
Its our shopping day today and a bit of running about for my Father-In-Law as well. Just had notification about checking in for our cruise, so tonight its sort out passports, photos and whatnots ready for the big day - which is coming round far too quickly.
Morning all – damp start to the day with heavy rain, thunder, lightning, hail and strong winds forecast – could this be the apocalypse?
The grumpy old woman has been evicted although the black dog is still making its presence felt but to a lesser extent
Did very little yesterday so today is taken up with housework and laundry – was planning on some grocery shopping but don’t think I want to venture out!
It’s sunny with some cloud at present but rain and possible thunder are forecast for later. The weather doesn’t matter much though. I’m re-organising part of the kitchen to adapt a space for a fridge/freezer that will be arriving on Monday. It think it will take all day and maybe tomorrow as well.
The North Yorks moors in the distance with a brief glimpse of the ‘White Horse of Kilburn’
I spent more time running and walking on those moors than I spent at home.
I don’t think the thunder and lightning will reach this far North, but I don’t mind…I love a good thunder storm.
Lunch at a faraway garden centre today and then back to receive the family for tea and a good nag…If they can all put down their phones…
On my last visit to the UK I hated York. Nowhere to park, I paid £9 for two hours parking to visit the train museum - rip off city. Couldn’t wait to leave.
It was immediately added to my list of places to avoid ever visiting again.
Apparently there is a lot of trouble with drunken youths at night Bruce, lots of students reside there. I’m not blaming them all, but there does seem to be an unusual amount of alcoholism and drugs that wasn’t present a few years ago.
We always use the park and ride, £1.40 with our old folks concessions, and quite a nice ride in on an electric double decker. Am I the only one who loves to sit upstairs?
