Good morning one and all on the sixth of the sixth. It is a carbon copy of the last few days, cool, sunny and cloudless. Isn’t it an anniversary of D Day?
Walk as usual first thing then drove to the servo to check the tyres ready for my trip tomorrow, didn’t need fuel. Loaded my 20 litre can of fuel in the back, just in case the Donald does something else stupid, at least I should be able to get home again.
The car is more or less packed ready for the off, basically just have to throw in my Ooodie and my book in the morning and I will be ready to go. Watered the plants earlier.
Actually just this minute remembered I meant to clean the windscreen will do that as soon as I have finished this.
Apart from that not much else to tell, enjoy your weekend.
No sun just grey and rain today , my plan was to get a filled Cob and sit down by the Trent and eat it .
It may not work out that way now .
Have a safe journey tomorrow Bruce.
At last guy from the company that erectect our conservatory is comming to measue up the glass roof panel that cracked under the intense heat we had the other day.
raining t the moment and the ground needs it
Kinga , husband and very excitable 9 year old daughter arrive in 40 minutes to start on my beloved Marine Aquarium, stripping it down ready for the removal men to come and move the tank to her house.
You lose an average of 30% of the contents with a full tank move, so it is not coming back.
Just getting it out will be a nightmare, it is boxed in by furniture.
Which they will then have to move back, including my electric hospital bed and air mattress.
I move out two weeks on Monday for at least 9 weeks, it will then have to be cleaned, recarpeted, stairlift refitted etc etc.
Late last night I got up for a pee, made a cup of tea, and idly poked around in my kitchen cupboards
I realised that some of the packets & cans had been in there for a long time, so today I’ll sort them and make a plan for rotating my stocks
Same with the fridge freezer; that is full and needs defrosting, and the corner of the kitchen where it lives need a good muck out
I think that for the rest of the year I’ll eat up & use up items till it’s back to bare shelves, then start again
Other jobs today include writing a proper pen & paper letter to a friend who doesn’t use t’Net
I’ve sorted out a blade & handle materials, so I hope to start on making a knife
