Good Morning everyone, I am back in harness after my outing yesterday.
Went for my walk as usual this morning, said good morning to a lot of people in the street mostly (I suspect) going home from the Dawn Service at the war memorial.
The Bunya pine was almost glowing in the early morning sunshine.
After many years of promising to do so, this morning I finally painted my bird bath with silicone glue. I hope it makes a difference because the bath has needed filling nearly everyday as the concrete has cracked and deteriorated. Of course it may just be too late.
I will give it another coat tomorrow.
Took advantage of the sunny day and my washing is on the line too enjoying the sunshine.
Last night Concert was good although many of the seats were empty , I have noticed this in the last month .Im thinking it must be the cost of living thats holding people back.
Ive had an email to say my 40 plug plants are being sent middle of the week , so Id better make room for them, and get some planters cleaned …
Today the temps are suppose to rise to 20c which is noticeable warmer . but I think I need a rest day , my back is paining me , think Ive been in the garden bending and lifting too much.
A quick entry today. Just going out for a coffee and breakfast, come back and the wife will be in full house-cleaning mode. May wander up to the local waterway later and check up on the wildlife, if only to keep out the way.
No wind here, but also cold, it is forecast to warm up in the next few hours.
My mobility is still badly compromised, not good as the longer you are stuck in bed the less mobile you become.
I now struggle to get to the stairlift to be able to use the loo.
My helpers are taking photos today of the garden stores, it seems much has been stolen.
The Police are no help at all, just will be giving me a complaint number instead of investigating.
After the fire the house was left unlocked with doors and windows open to ventilate it, so that is me stuffed, the electricity was also turned off, so security cameras were not working.
Only got sorted when I got home after a few days at the hotel.
Morning all – another lovely sunny day – I could get used to this!
Sorry to hear of your continuing problems swimfeeders
More problems with the shower door seal! Neighbour called in to fit the newly delivered one only to find the door wouldn’t fully close! There is a metal strip on the edge of the shower tray which he thinks removing will solve the problem. He had an appointment so couldn’t do it then so is coming back today! Fortunately I do have a second shower so there is no need for everyone to stand upwind of me!
Spent a lot of yesterday afternoon sitting in the garden reading – finished my book. Not sure if I would read the rest of the series. There is a new book published in a series I enjoyed a year or two ago so I may get that but in the meantime I do have two new books to keep me going!
Today’s plan is some shopping for fresh veg and fruit – plus I may treat myself to some ice lollies!!
Good Morning Everyone…
Fence bloke didn’t turn up, he must’ve meant next Saturday…
Rushed round Tesco so we would be back in time to do him a cup of tea with some chocolate biscuits…Biscuits will be gone by next week…
Very nice sunny morning with some hazy cloud drifting across an otherwise clear blue sky. Still a bit on the nippy side though with the temperature getting down to 4º C overnight, but lovely and warm during the day…The legs are browning up nicely.
A Garden Centre for lunch with a 35 mile relaxing drive…Almost enjoy the drive more than the pie and veg when we get there. The veg will take care of my five a day…
Kids coming for tea…And Ronnie O’Sullivan versus Higgins on the telly…what’s not to like?
Make sure you wear plenty of suntan Sheila, if you sit reading outside, sometimes you can be so absorbed in a book you don’t notice how much you’re burning…
The funny thing is I have never worn sunscreen even though it is often free at the beach or in parks but I have slopped it all over my kids and grandkids. I don’t know why I don’t put it on but I never have, however I always wear a hat.
I do go to the skin cancer clinic every so often for a check up but so far no skin cancer
