What a great day! It’s a weekend and the sun has returned at last. Three cheers for our very own celestial body.
The sun was streaming in when I woke up this morning (I overslept) but no sooner was I up and showered than I had the washing in full flight. Love this washing machine, you can get so much in it.
After hanging all that stuff on the line went for a walk, the first for the week I think. ! came home to find half of the washing dry already in the gentle breeze. Very pleased.
Morning all – sunny start to the day but clouds are moving in
Returned the solar lights on Thursday as one wasn’t working – why is it when I buy something the money leaves my account immediately, but when I return something it takes 5 days for the refund to reach my account?
Yesterday was the anniversary of my husband’s passing. I usually like to keep busy on that day. My lovely neighbours suggested I join them for a visit to a marina in the next town. It involved catching two buses which was an adventure in itself, strolled around the marina, had coffee sitting in the sun and stopped off for lunch before returning home late afternoon. They have managed to find a cattery to take the beast for their upcoming holiday, except for the last couple of days so I have said if they get someone to collect her and bring her home I will look after her for those few days.
Had no idea this weekend is a Bank Holiday! I suppose since retiring these things aren’t that important any more.
Only plans for today are some shopping and perhaps some laundry if I feel energetic (unlikely!)
Just off for a slap up meal (pie and chips) at a local garden centre, got behind after taking Rosie the cat for an early vets appointment, Said she would have a look at my back, since there are more vets in the village than doctors so it’s a lot easier to see one…Creak!
will report back later…
Nice drive out to Epworth and the Garden Centre there, they do some splendid pies, and the veg is all locally sourced…Yum!
Rumour has it that it’s supposed to be closing and making way for another housing development. Epworth is a desirable place to live though, but not much work except farming but that is mainly done by contractors these days.
