I have just arrived home apparently just in times for some serious storms tomorrow.
My youngest son is battening down for Tropical Cyclone Fina which should pass just north of Darwin as a Cat 3, He rang me while I was driving home and said the rain started at 3am and hasn’t stopped for a moment but the real winds hadn’t arrived.
I’ve had a shower and breakfast, now I’m ready to face the world!
Which will start with going to the supermarket for milk and a few other important items, like whisky
Then perhaps a bit of light housework; and that’s all I can think of at the moment
The wife has decided it’s laundry day here, which means sitting here listening to the washing machine rumble all day. I’ve also got a ton of stuff to do on my PC, mainly to do with ordering Christmas presents.
I would go out for a walk, but it’s decidedly wet and miserable out, so I may give it a miss.
Good morning from the sunny Space Coast of Florida!
Whew, that was a long drive; lots of traffic, I expect due to people taking off early for the Thanksgiving holiday and heading to Disney and the beaches. There were two major accidents shutting down Interstate 95, which nicknamed “The Parking Lot.” Can confirm that this is an appropriate sobriquet . Two extra hours and one carsick dog later (causing two additional cleanup stops , we arrived in antcipation of a 2 a.m. launch…but I fell asleep .
It sounds like it’s a good day out there except for coastal Darwinians who are having their beaches scoured . I hope the erosion isn’t too bad.
We are off for some exploration and a stop at the base commissary.
Weather wise it’s been a ghastly day here yes ghastly on the soggy south coast very wet n windy, it’s one of those hate full dark days…
Is it too early to get the Christmas decs out ?
It would cheer me up .
I’ve already opened and tested the chocolate orange.
