Good Morning Saturday, 20th June 2026

Good morning on a warm winter’s day, still well about average temperatures for winter but I am not complaining.

Walk as usual this morning. I went past what used to be a small community garden it is now a forest. I assume that the locals lost interest and the council took it over again.

Wollongong council is keen to “green” the suburbs with trees and plants taking up over 40% of the land area, it is supposed to remove the heat island effect. Do recall my brother saying that Sydney had many more trees and green spaces than Macclesfield, I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing. This suburb is supposed to have less greenery than other Wollongong suburbs so they have been planting on the verges like mad. They even give away free trees to residents.

While I was out I posted off that tiny medallion thing, that I found yesterday, to Revesby Public School they seemed quite interested in it.

Anyway it’s the weekend. Yay!

Take care…

Good morning all!:cloud:

A warm but cloudy day forecast. I’m off to London with my son today, ironing done and boots already polished last night!:+1:
A swift (hopefully) train journey to London bridge, our first port of call will coincidentally be a community garden although very different to Bruce’s.

This is pretty much under the radar as far as the tourist trail is concerned. A rather somber and melancholic place, a darker side of London history. The actual cemetery/garden gates and railings are bedecked with ribbons, poetry and countless tributes of all sorts.

I’ll be taking a camera, given the cloudy weather this film will be superb for catching the brooding ambience of Crossbones.

Then it’s off to Camden for the launch day of the Museum of Youth Culture :+1: I have tickets for an hour’s lunchtime slot, it’s going to be seriously busy in there!

Finally off for a drink or two in Dingwall and The World’s End at Camden Lock, both quite buzzy, punky, goth kind of places!

Have a good day people… the heatwave is coming!:open_mouth::sun_with_face:

Morning all – dull and overcast this morning with rain forecast for later – it would appear that “heat wave” will now not be arriving until Monday!

Neighbours are due home from their cruise today – and will be off again tomorrow for 3 or 4 weeks in Spain! This past week mine has been the only occupied house this end of my street – everyone has been away. I am beginning to feel like the poor relation always left behind!

I need to buy a new printer – mine packed up a couple of months ago – I don’t know whether to go for the new eco tank ones where the ink supposedly lasts for around 3 years or a much cheaper one. As I no longer print as much as I used to I wonder if the eco tank one will be worth the cost – decisions decisions!

Take care – have a lovely day

Ive only just got back on the internet after a problem , it felt like I was no longer in touch with the world , I wonder how teenagers will cope when they no longer can access the Social media’s…

Yesterday a Train from my City was in a crash with another train, sadly the driver of one died and serious injuries to a lot of passengers .I wish them all a speedy recovery , and condolenses to the family of the Driver .

I went to Camden Market with Carol on a coach trip . it also included a ride on a boat to get there, we both enjoyed it . Not sure if theres some photos I took , but they will probably be on the previous site …

Enjoy your day all .

Hi there, I recently looked into obtaining a new printer for a group I’m involved in and what I read is that an EcoTank requires regular use. If not used for weeks, the liquid ink can dry up and clog the print heads and you may also need to replace the internal waste ink pad over time. Using dry powder toner, a laser doesn’t dry out or clog, making it more reliable for users who only print an occasional few pages.e

Good afternoon everyone and I hope you’re all having a great “official start of Summer” weekend.
Very high temperatures here and rising, it’s 34c at the moment.
I went for a nice long walk in the centre of town early this morning with a couple of friends when it was still lovely and cool. I was already back home by 10am, just in time before the heat!

This evening I’ll be going to see my son taking part in a theatrical performance in the courtyard of the castle of our nearby village, about the legendary witches of our areas.
So I’m in for some “spookinesss” too, Chilli.

Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday evening.

I have been using laser printers for decades now, my first was black only, wouldn’t go back to an ink jet
