Another hot day in the midst of this heatwave. Not entirely sure what’s happening today, I have a long “to do” list which is getting longer, but this weather makes trying to get things done intolerable. Probably do a bit of shopping, as the wife is on the hunt for clothes for our cruise next month. There is a Victorian Reenactment display just up the road and I may wander up with the camera and see if there’s anything worth snapping. Beyond that, probably go for an ice cream along the seafront later.
Having come back from my daily walk (before it gets too hot) I noticed that the family of geese have come back, with the goslings now young adult.
I bought my zip yesterday; it was very hot in the bus and walking around to the haberdashers at the old mill
However, I resisted temptation and didn’t go to the pub, or even bought an icecream
I’ll wait till it’s cooler before I tackle any sewing - I wouldn’t wear the jacket till autumn anyway
But while the weather’s nice I’ll try to lose a bit of weight and get fitter (Oh, here we go again!)
I’ve done some Tai chi, had a light breakfast and now I’m going for a walk round the park and local streets
I’ll be wearing light clothing, but hiking boots - not needed on such an easy walk in this weather but I have a suspicion that my feet have swollen slightly, and I want to check that the boots still fit
Loads of problems with Goole etc, signing in to say chrome is a complete nightmare. what happens is I I get into chrome and says sign in ( presumably Google). so put in my emaill addy- do password- get notice to contact? for conformation. I do all that correctly then I get told to wait 5 days for google to confirm a they need to do checks. done all that they they come back with insufficient information to confirm account.
as alternative I built in an alternative associated acouunt but tghat does not let me into say youtube for example with original password.
Next actually contacted to a completely hopeless and useless google tech person who told me what I had already done above. I asked him a simple question " give me a linked in password and he was totally lost as to what I wanted.
so again got to wait 5 more days only to be told yet again insufficient information ,and so now in a loop that google ballsed up
Temperature already high, so did my ingrowing toe nails earlier.
I have been using Poderm Professional, really good at dissolving hard nails and skin, for the last 3 days, so went for it this morning using the heavy duty clippers.
I have been watching You Tube videos, looked easy enough, it obviously isn’t.
It was not helped by the fact that I am taking breakthrough Morphine beause of the increased unstable angina attacks.
I was having a seated shower when I started with the clippers, didn’t feel a thing and very little blood.
In came one of the Health Care Assistants, What is going one?
Looked down to see a stream of blood from my right toes.
Yuck, I hadn’t noticed, so Nurse called, pictures taken and now bandaged up.
Duly bo**ocked, idiot of the week award and confined to bed with one leg raised in the air, immobile.
I actually ventured outdoors before 9 AM … unheard of for me.
I scampered down to the village and restocked on some ice cream and lollies.
I shudder to think of the calorific damage inflicted on my poor bod this weather.
I haven’t been anywhere today, this arvo my brother is going to Salford Royal hospital for a review of his health I have just come in after sitting out in the sun reading my book.
Keep getting reprimanded for saying Salford wrong, apparently it is something like Solford
My Sister in Law, to make me feel welcome, bought me some beer. Unfortunately she bought what in Australia would be regarded as a joke beer. Despite the label I can assure you this stuff is not even available in Australia.
I will probably drink it because she bought it with the best of intentions.
Funny thing is my brother complains that it is not natural, it is all cleared farmland. He reckons that Britain has few natural areas, except perhaps in parts of Scotland, everywhere is large scale farming, housing or Industry.
I sometimes think that he and OGF are very much in tune.
Yes, Scotland. Parts of Scotland is beautiful. Where I lived was in the hills in Angus very much in the countryside on a farm. School for me was six miles away and I went by bike, up hill and down.
