Good Morning Saturday, 10th May 2025

Good morning everyone, another perfect day in Darwin. The minimum temperature today is exactly the same as today’s maximum in Wollongong at 24°, while the maximum is as always in the mid to low 30s… Humidity is low because it is a the beginning of the dry season.

This morning son and daughter in law took me to the Parap Markets followed by a trip to Bunnings - they had house repairs to carry out.

I am probably staying until Wednesday and will begin my journey back to cooler parts on Thirsday. At the moment all my bedding is in their washing machine - I find it strange in this climate but they use a clothes dryer to dry it!

Have a lovely weekend all.

Take care…

Hi

Good Moring All.

A sunny start to the day, but chilly, only 5c and a cold easterly wind.

Coffee and meds soon, then a bath and washing machine on.

I lead such an exciting life.

Enjoy your time with the family.

Have a good day all.

Good morning!
Bright, sunny, clear, and warm

A couple of night’s ago I got a touch of quite painful cramp in my left leg
It’s slowly getting better, but comes on again if I walk, which is annoying as I want to start regular morning walks; Oh well, we shall see

So I’ll content myself with some Tai Chi indoors, followed by some tidying and sorting, of which I have quite enough thank you!

I need to pick through all my trousers and sort them into jeans, relatively smart trousers (that won’t be difficult as I don’t have many); those multi pocket poly cotton trousers; lined for winter, and so on.
The most important part of my tidying though, is to see what does actually fit me!

And at the speed I go that will take all day, with frequent breaks for cups of tea & coffee.

So off we go! …after another cup of coffee of course

A sunny start to the day and we’ll probably stroll across to the regular Saturday car boot sale in the quest for plants. That’s the same as last Saturday but the choice of plants there wasn’t that good.

Might wash all the pollen dust off the car this afternoon.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all – sunny start to the day although we are told to expect thunder storms later!

Many thanks to all those who expressed condolences on the death of my Mother – much appreciated.

Still trying to plan my trip to Australia – it has taken the insurance broker 2 days to tell me they don’t insure anyone over 75 for more than 45 days travel, didn’t they know that when I first contacted them? I have contacted a couple of other insurance companies direct so hopefully will be able to find someone who will insure me (I won’t travel without insurance).

Plans for today are a quick trip to the supermarket and, my least favourite job – cleaning the shower!

Take care - have a great day everyone

Morning all. A bright and sunny day down here in southern Hampshire.

We have a landmark wedding anniversary approaching in a few months and today will be trying to plan some sort of surprise for “Mrs G”. Several ideas in mind, but at the moment, I’m thinking of a trip away somewhere, possibly (another) cruise somewhere.

In the meantime, its coffee and shopping again.

:+1: :coffee:

Good Morning to Everyone… :039:
A very warm and sunny Saturday morning, a rest day today with our usual visit to a garden centre for lunch. Had a good walk yesterday over a bridge…Someone might recognise it…

A great path on either side but you have to watch out for the cyclists whizzing past.

Flags on the pillars for VE day…I bet the view from up there is amazing.

The busy A163 that leads to Hull east, and turns into the M62 west all the way to Manchester…

There are still working ships travelling from Hull to inland ports at Goole and beyond.

A very scenic railway line from Doncaster to Hull passes alongside the river Humber. I’ve travelled on it many times, mainly just for the enjoyment.
