Good Morning Saturday, 10th January 2025

Good morning everyone, It is another scorcher today.

It was over 30° before 9am and last night the temperature didn’t drop below 23° so it got a head start on the day. It is supposed to get into the mid 40s where I live.

I only walked 4.5km this morning, it was pretty warm so came home for a cold shower, made sure the birdbath was full and set out my garden hose just in case. It is quite windy, a hot wind, good bushfire weather. :crossed_fingers:

Topped up my smaller, newer generator too, again - just in case, am not expecting a power cut but air conditioners will be flat out today, on the upside it is a weekend so a lot of industry is shut down. Anyway it is sitting by the back door ready to go if needed.

If the house gets too hot will take my book to the mall and sit in air conditioned comfort but hope it won’t come to that. I have fans next to my chair which have kept me cool enough for the last few days.

A cool southerly is due to arrive this evening, tomorrow it won’t get above the mid 20s which is perfect.

Enjoy your cool weather.

Take care…

@Bruce It really does sound hot! I actually do the same thing in summer, on very hot days I like to go and sit in a shopping mall, bring my online work with me, and work from there. I’ll sit, enjoy an iced coffee, and stay cool. My favorite mall to go to is IKEA.

These days in Bangkok it’s not extremely hot, though. Today I woke up and walked around the house, checking on the plants and greenery, before sitting down to continue studying my online work.
Hearing friends who live in cooler climates does make me a little jealous sometimes. I think one day I’ll get to live somewhere cool like that too, haha.
Funny how people are never quite satisfied, those in the heat admire the cool, and those in the cool miss the warmth.

Hi

Good Morning All.

Just gone 5 in the morning, minus 2C , with windchill as well.

Looking on the brightside, not much chance of a wildfire.

My blood pressure is playing up again, only 68/43, so no chance of being able to make myself a coffee until it improves.

Have a great day all.

It is 6.45pm, the temperature in my house is 36° the temperature outside is still 41°.

According to BOM the Southerly Buster should arrive in Wollongong about 9 pm give or take. Usually drops the temperature by 10 to 15° with some relatively strong winds and sometimes dry lightning (lot of energy in the atmosphere). Just hope the latter doesn’t occur

Hope you are feeling well soon.

A temperature drop would be very welcome, but dry lightning is the last thing anyone needs.

Good morning - Cold and sunny this morning. A rarely seen or communicated with granddaughter and her partner are visiting today. It’ll be a little awkward at first but family is family and I expect it will soon seem normal.

Have the best possible day.

Good Morning from a chilly south coast , it’s looking promising out there, going to be a sunny Saturday for sure .

Mr Swimmy hope you’re feeling stronger now x

Shall be doing some out of town shopping today, don’t know why as the January sales have been massively disappointing/ non existent. Guess it’s all online .

Take care .

Good morning from a frosty southern Hampshire…

Not a great deal happening today. Take the wife to the chiropractor and find somewhere for lunch, maybe do some shopping a bit later. I’m sure something else will present itself after my coffee…

Have a great day.

 :coffee:

Good morning all!
Bloody chilly here in West Sussex
A day for staying in and catching up on the mundane.

Having said that I’ve had a little bit of an experiment…

Sent the scanned image from my laptop to my phone, which was stressful enough!
She’s now going to be emblazoned on the front of a plain black t- shirt courtesy of Amazon.

Enjoy your day people! :+1:

Hi

We have blue shy and sun, wind hs died away, snow is going.

That is the good news, the bad is down to minus 2 by teatime.

Kyle is here, a real whiz on the techie stuff.

He really is very nice, polite and hardworking.

It takes a little time to get used to his ways of doing things.

Being Autistic he does like things structured and insists on calling me sir rather than by my first name.

A small price to pay.
