Good Morning Monday, 9th June 2025

Good morning on a blustery Monday morn.

As it was a public holiday I wasn’t sure what time the shops opened so left my visit to the mall until after 9am. Only visited Big W for a couple of Bluetooth mouses (mice?). There was a range on offer but you have to be careful, some are Bluetooth but some are wireless and use a dongle (I think).

Needed a new one because the existing neat little one decided to give up the ghost last night, thought I needed two, one for my new travelling computer and one to keep at home for emergencies (who wants a mouse emergency?).

It is cold and overcast today, my son in law posted some pictures of them on a day trip in the Brindabellas (just outside Canberra), that alone made me feel even colder.

Enjoy your Monday.

Take care…

A fairly early start for me. I have to get the car to the garage for a service. The garage is within walking distance, so no lifts to and from there needed.

I’m hoping I have got everything sorted out so that the fridge/freezer (arriving this afternoon) goes into position without a problem.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

Another bright and warm day down here in southern Hampshire.

Just dropped my car off in the dealer (again) for its first MoT, so I’m being chauffeured by Mrs G who has to go for some tests and will then drop me off back at the dealer and then off to deal with my father-in-law again. We’re still miles away from being ready for our cruise in a few weeks time and there’s a load of stuff we have to deal with before we go. But before we do anything - coffee time!

Who said retirement was easy?

Whatever, have a great day.

:sunny: :coffee: :cookie:

Morning all – overcast day, just hoping the rain keeps off so the gardener can work his magic

Did very little yesterday – just reading, binge watching a favourite programme and enjoying a couple of glasses of wine!

Also spent time watching the birds and had to chase the magpie away several times. It bullies the smaller birds and tries to knock the feeder onto the ground! I have been told that magpies have a good memory and hold grudges so I may find myself under attack next time I venture into the garden!

Plans for today are a quick visit to the supermarket then back in time for the gardener.

Take care – have a great day

Morning all, ladies car across the road has gone on the blink so I’ve offered to take her for an appointment at the hospital and then on to the physio. I’m sat outside Greggs at the moment waiting for her call, so I’m writing this on my phone…Fiddly bloody thing
Traffics abismal but at least I’ll get some lunch…
