Good Morning Monday, 8th December 2025

Good morning all you forumers out there. Not too hot, not too cold today though there is a remote possibility of a shower later, something that would be very welcome. Temperature in the mid to high 20s today.

Being a Monday it was coffee and cake morning which was, as usual, delightful company, next Monday will probably be our last meet up for the year and we might not get together again until mid/late January. Such is life.

Called into the op Shop on the way home and bought a couple of books then strolled up to the Vietnamese bakery and bought a dozen rolls to freeze, even treated myself to a croissant for later.

I will probably watch a couple more episodes of Parenthood this arvo, only two more days before Netflix dumps it and I still have two seasons to go. It is fairly hard to find on the interweb thing :frowning_with_open_mouth: Not happy Jan.

Anyway enjoy the start to the week.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

More of the same, miserable wet and the river is still rising.

I did manage a long bath yesterday when Shiv was here, so much better than full body wipes and dry shampoo.

I feel much more human.

Shona is here soon for 2 hours, doing the techie stuff and some shopping.

I haven’t even been in her new electric car yet, that will be fun, she is a very fast but also very good driver.

You never know what you are going to find in her car, 3 daughters, all take turns in the passenger seat, and all very different.

Have a great day all and stay safe.

Good morning - Dry and not too cold for the time of year. Much of the day will be taken up with medical stuff but other than that, no plans.

Have the best possible day.

Good morning all!

Serious full on house work this morning. Currently dusting down the TV unit and sorting out some of the DVDS…

I thought I’d actually lent this one to a friend, obviously not!

Might just watch it this evening, I’m in the mood for a healthy dose of political incorrectness

Enjoy your day people! :+1:

Morning all…

Just come back from my walk in yet another grey and damp day.

Yesterday was quite traumatic with putting up the decorations, leaving me tired and aching all over. Clambering about in attics and lifting heavy boxes is no longer fun at my age. Started early and didn’t finish until just before midnight and managed to get it about 90% done. Still have some left to do, but this is the easy bit with wiring and a small project I did to save the hassle with endless batteries we would otherwise go through (more expense!). Once I’ve done that (post coffee), Mrs wants to clean up and then we’ll go out for a walk somewhere.

Have a great day all…

:grinning: :+1:

Good morning, all.

I feel your pain @Graham, I was up in the attic scrounging around for certain items because the gentlemen of the family didn’t have the patience to sort out a few specific items I wanted, given that we are on the “Christmas Lite” plan this year. There was a lot more mumbling and grumbling than “Ho, ho, ho’s,” so I decided it was better to get it done than suffer the consequences .

It’s still gray, though the rain has finally passed through. Mundaneday has me off sorting a summons for jury duty, taking my daughter to the dentist, and solving an odd assortment of chores. It’s not a problem though love this time of year when the tourists are gone and the roads are wide open. If all goes well, I am heading to the beach across town for a late afternoon walk.

I hope your Monday is a good one!
