Good Morning Monday, 26th May 2025

Good morning every one, it has been a lovely morning but that is all about to change as a southerly sweeps up the coast, supposed to arrive here late arvo or tonight.

Went to my Monday coffee and cake meeting, so while I am sad my mini break is over I am glad my routine is back.

Some photos from my last day travelling to brighten up the beginning of the working week - as you will see it did not rain but it was very overcast.

First up Lake Windamere in all its glory a very popular water sports and fishing spot in summer

First sign of the Blue Mountains from the west - they look blue because of the way the eucalyptus oil from the gum trees affects sunlight.

Finally the hell that is the M7 weekend road works (they are adding a new intersection), two lanes reduced to one so we crawled along for about a kilometre before being back on two lanes and full speed.

Have a more than marvellous Monday.

Take care…

Good day!

Its been one of the longest weekends. I’m grateful its over.

@Bruce, always marvel the similarities yet differences. Thanks for the pictures shared.

All, has anyone known cases of treatable adenocarcinoma cases? If yes, any cases of folks who were 85?

Looking forward (no puns, very long weekend) to Monday holiday…and actually going to the office Tues.

Have a great day all!

Good morning all!

After a rather prolonged pub lunch yesterday it’s a day for staying in and catching up on the household chores etc. Of course with it being a Bank Holiday I’m sure I’ll fit in a bowl of olives and a couple of glasses of red :wine_glass:

I’ll be chatting with a good buddy of mine on WhatsApp with regards to finalising the purchase of her rather vintage but very usable film camera.

There’s a indie/punk gig coming up in a few weeks and some of the local lads will be one of the bands playing.

I’d very much like to try some ever so speedy black and white film…no flash involved!

Enjoy your holiday Monday forum people :+1:

Yet another Bank Holiday. The Sun is shining but rain is forecast for this afternoon. No definite plans but since the family didn’t come here yesterday, they will probably come today.

Have a good day.

Morning all.

Start of another week (already!) albeit a Bank Holiday. Not much happening here in in south Hampshire, weather is warm but looks unsettled, could be rain later. I suppose the best news I had yesterday was being a chance I could be commissioned to do some shoots, an anniversary next month and a wedding sometime later. Also have some studio time booked in August and may be doing something next weekend with my old camera - hopefully.

Meantime, its time for my coffee and I have to taxi the wife around later this morning. After that, no idea.

Whatever, have a great Monday all.

:+1: :coffee:

Morning all – sunny start but rain forecast but as it is a Bank Holiday that is to be expected (I think there is a law that it must rain on a Bank Holiday!)

Gardener is due today but not sure if the rain will hold off long enough

My lovely neighbour dropped in yesterday with homemade cake! She has been unwell so couldn’t make her usual delivery on Wednesday. Also her husband was watching sport on TV and she wanted to talk to someone who was actually listening to her!

Not much planned for today – may spend time finishing my book, it is getting to the final showdown between the hero and the villain! I did consider doing laundry but the forecast is for rain for the next couple of days so as I prefer to dry clothes outdoors I have decided not to (what, lazy? Me?!!!)

Take care – have a great day

Good Morning everyone… :039:
Windy and wild here in South Yorks, but the rain kept off during my walk and the sun kept peeking out from behind some ever so black clouds…
Just managed to get a shot of the lift bridge opening as I left the towpath…

And hows this for long straight roads Bruce?

Great photos by the way Bruce…
Mrs Fox has found me a few jobs for today so I better crack on…

And by way of a culinary update…

Yesterday’s semi- stale baguette brought back to life as garlic bread. Lashings of extra virgin olive oil, some chopped fresh chillies, dried herbs, Maldon salt and a liberal sprinkling of Parmesan.

Into the oven it goes :+1:
