It’s supposed to be showery today though when I got up and later went for my Coffee and Cake morning the sun was shining. However now at midday it is definitely overcast and grey looking.
I don’t need any more rain, the ground is nicely watered but of course that doesn’t mean the water catchment doesn’t need it. Better check while I think of it:
Actually it doesn’t look like they do, I can’t remember them being so full for so long. There are a number of dams supplying Sydney mostly built, with great forethought, in the 1930s.
Sorry, that is very self indulgent but I haven’t taken any notice of water supplies for a while, BTW the dam areas are a great place for a picnic, there are free BBQs and shelters at all of them, I used to take my kids a lot when they were young.
Love the quiet and stillness of this time of morning, just lit a lavender joss stick and I’m sipping on a freshly infused green tea with honey and cloves contemplating what the day might have in store.
We’ll be concluding The Bank Holiday with a sweltering thirty one degrees today in West Sussex! Plan is to head for town early afternoon for the final gig of the weekend outside of our superb CAMRA local!
The Ed Miller Band will be playing, saw them last year, terrific
The bass player sang solo Abba songs, with attitude!
Morning all – a lovely sunny day here – forecast to reach over 30c!!
Neighbours returned from their week in Spain on Saturday – although I don’t know how rested they feel. The flight out was delayed for 2 hours and the flight back was diverted to Cardiff where they sat on the plane for a couple of hours before it finally brought them to Bristol
My sister-in-law called in yesterday, she always drops in when she and her husband have had an argument, I think it is so she won’t kill him! I managed to get her laughing so she left here in a much better mood than when she arrived.
I have an 8.30 am appointment tomorrow with a “nurse practitioner” (whatever that is). I have a sore on my face which won’t heal and a friend, who was a nurse, has advised me to get it checked out. I was surprised I got an appointment so quickly, although, not with an actual doctor.
Today the drive and patio are due to be re-sanded, although with the heat being forecast I don’t know if that will be cancelled.
Even though I set off early for my walk it had climbed to 25ºC by the time I returned home.
I must admit, I share in your love of the early morning stillness Chilli, the time before the world gets into gear and traffic fills the roads.
Even better on a bank holiday, it sometimes feels like I am the only one alive on earth as I walk down deserted streets and lanes.
Have a cool day forumers whatever you end up doing…
We have them here especially in remote areas, they are specially trained nurses that can issue prescriptions. I have never been to one myself but I have a local GP with no nurses.
Good morning everyone!
It’s a fresh Monday and I’m wishing you all a cheerful start to the week. May today bring little joys, kind encounters, and maybe even a surprise or two. Let’s step into the day with a smile Monday doesn’t have to be gloomy when we make it our own. Have a wonderful one, folks!
Good afternoon everyone, same high temperatures here, although still quite cool indoors on my ground floor. I still need a sweater inside but as soon as I go outside… Actually, I try to stay in as much as possible these days, because of all that nasty pollen! I’m having sneezing fits continuously, itchy eyes, throat, the lot! I was ok until last week, but as soon as the rain stopped, here I am! Well, we can’t have it all, it’s either rain or pollen. I’ll just have to suffer in silence and put up with it, should get better during the month of June.
It’s time for some mango and yogurt flavoured icecream.
