What can I say? it is good morning from me on another typical sunny spring day.
Being Monday, of course it was coffee and cake morning, one of our number looks like she will not be with us for much longer. I don’t mean likely to die (though that is always possible for any of us), just having trouble getting about and complaining that it was no way to live. Very sad really.
Not sure what the rest of the day holds for me, I might fly my drone again just for the practice and to find out exactly how I tell it is recording videos - it didn’t record when I thought it was yesterday. Photos, no problem, makes a camera click noise but video recording is not so obvious, I expected a red dot but not what I actually saw.
Good Morning Bruce and All, a very cold one here with Neighbours having to scrape frost from Their windscreens,I have the heating on until the temp’ rises later…Thank goodness I don’t have to go to work any more,
it is a trip to the local council tip this morning with 11 bags of acorns. May get in another trip later on with the rest.
getting colder at night now and the days shorter. Roll on the summer.
Good morning - Three stops to make on this fine, sunny but chilly morning. First the Pharmacy to pick up Mrs mart’s prescription - Rymans to buy some stationery and a 2026 Calendar - Asda to do the week’s main shop.
I’ll have to do do some clambering around in the loft this afternoon to put some insulation back down. It was pulled back in the summer so I could grab a co-ax cable being fed in from outside. Something else to do is make sure I have the correct allen key handy for taking the bed to bits early tomorrow morning. A new bed could arrive at any time from early to late.

Now it just be me and my sense of humour ,but the thought of feeding a cable made me smile.
The question goes through my mind is what does it eat. is it vegiterian for example or a meat eater
@realspeed …What a shame you are tipping those Acorns , Theres money to be made by selling to Craft people ,Im collecting a few for Table decoration, and with Christmas on the way ,they would look nice in Garlands and Wreaths…
A Flower Shop might be interested too
You can still come and collect several large bags if you want to. Only got rid of about 15 large industrial bags so far. To give some idea Sue has trouble lifting each one they are so heavy
Hello everyone, I didn’t go to work today because I wasn’t feeling very well. I was just lying in bed by myself. Don’t you think that as we get older, we need someone by our side on hard days like this? I know I shouldn’t complain, everyone is busy. Life in Bangkok isn’t exactly slow-paced. At any age, we have to be strong by ourselves.
It certainly ate up a lot of time when I was doing the job but day to day, it eats the Freeview TV signal and passes it on to a distribution centre. From there, it feeds any TV that wants it.
@Pimmy, I hope you feel better soon. Personally I like to be left alone when I’m feeling ill, but it would be good to have someone fetch you a drink, I suppose. If I were your neighbour, I’d call in to make sure you were ok.
@User_One Thank you, I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. I understand what you mean about wanting to be alone sometimes, I feel the same way too. Now that my family members are home, I have all the food and drinks I need, so I’m okay. Still, knowing that someone is thinking of me makes me feel less alone.
Good morning…actually afternoon…from the global oven better known as “Florida” . Alas, I am not complaining since the skiers are blue and all the flowers seem to have recovered from August’s relentless heat. Running early this morning, though not far, was immensely enjoyable through the marine oak forest. No acorns here - yet.
We had hoped to take the boat out yesterday, but the kids’ work and school responsibilities put the brakes on that… Instead, we used the excuse to deep clean the boat which left the boat clean and me a mess. I never who owns whom when it comes to people and worldly possessions.
I just had one of those strange deliveries in which I went out scouring the front of the house in search of a delivery that had been reported as such, only to come in to a second text that it had been delayed. Sometimes I feel like the delivery companies prank me more than my children. Humpf.
@Pimmy, I hope your off day is short-lived and you can be out and about in no time. Take care.
Avoiding a trip to the grocery store, I’ve also been deep diving into the freezer trying to come up with dinner out of an odd sort of ingredients. The discovered treasure was a block of spinach that will surprisingly turn up in quiche her in a few hours. Victory!
Was catching up on a very long topic I hadn’t seen before, and before I knew it, my laptop battery expired…
Before that, I set off on a 15 mile cycle ride but had to cut it short. At 5 degrees C and an icy wind, the cold was getting to me big style and thought it best to settle for an eight.
Another problem I had was the rising sun. It was very low in the sky and on some sections I couldn’t see where I was going…Too many potholes to not be able to see…
In future I will ride later in the day when it’s warmer and the sun is higher in the sky…
My retired BT broadband stuff is parceled up and on it’s way back to BT…
And I managed to get the phones working on the new system. The patched together wiring isn’t pretty, but it will do for now…
