Good morning one and all. A cold and eventually wet morning here. Like we really need more rain. Not.
Fortunately the rain had stopped when I set out for my Monday morning coffee and cake however it did deter one of our friends but such is life.
On the way home I called into the grog shop and discovered Ginger Wine on special at $10 (down from $15) so I bought a couple of bottles. Then it was off to the supermarket for a pack of Mrs Macs frozen Jumbo Sausage Rolls where I also bought some frozen Chilli Pies - it seems curry pies are no longer made.
While I was there I bought some make up pads, took me ages to find them, just not familiar with the make up section. I was told they are excellent for soaking up small amounts of oil, wax and paint and want to try them out. To be honest I was a bit disappointed in them I thought they would be thicker but I will try Coles next time.
Well, that is my morning just about over, hate the weather but have some plans for the arvo.
Morning all. A cloudy start to the day, threatening to rain later.
Not sure what’s happening today. Mrs G is off to the gym and maybe do a bit of shopping later. Other than that, I can’t say too much exciting stuff going on in this part of the world. Our wedding anniversary is tomorrow, but the missus has to go and look after my father in law for the day, so we’ll do something on Wednesday, possibly involving an Italian restaurant and some jewellery I have for her on the basis of “Happy wife, happy life”, sort of thing.
Good Morning Bruce and all who follow…
Moved all the garden furniture and other debris and retrieved my bike from the back of the summer house, gave it a rub down to remove the cobwebs, and decided to take it out for a spin instead of walking this morning. I knew it was going to be hard going because I haven’t been on the thing since March this year. Of the five gears, I usually ride in fourth and occasionally in fifth down the hills or if the wind is behind me, but this mornings ride was done mainly in second and third…No legs… Some work to be done…
The weather was a perfect 17 degrees C and overcast, with not a breath of wind, but 8.5 miles was quite ample for today.
