Good Morning Monday, 16th February 2026

Good morning everybody, got a fair drop of rain overnight (6mm) but this morning is warm and sunny (high 20s low 30s)

Being Monday it was coffee and cake morning, one of our number was missing again she seems to have developed a phobia about the three steps to her front door, terrified of falling down or up them. We probably won’t see her until the useless MyAgedCare mob build the promised ramp.

On the way home I called into Big W for a book I was after (Dark Desert Road by Tim Ayliffe) and bought some tomato seeds to plant. I am sure I have mentioned this before, my old man built a couple of greenhouses just to grow tomatoes and when he visited he got very cross that I had tomatoes growing out of my compost and I hadn’t staked them! Anyway this time I bought the stakes first!

This arvo I have a visit to the skin cancer doctor for a final check up, hopefully the last for a year the biopsies on my head were clear. My GP was adamant that I visit because I haven’t been checked for skin cancers for about a decade.

Tomorrow I have a visit to the GP to hear the results of my chest Xrays, then on Wednesday a cataract op. It is a very medical week

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning!
Cloudy, grey, dull, and damp

My flu bug has (hopefully) cleared up, though I feel a bit weak and tired
But I can’t stay in for ever, so this morning I’m going to the Men’s Shed for the first time since before Christmas – I wonder if they’ll remember me?!

This afternoon I’ll get my hair cut - that hasn’t been done for weeks, if not months, either

Good morning all!

Blimey, what’s that big warm yellow thing up in the sky? :sun_with_face::open_mouth:
Some sunshine at last, short lived perhaps but what a tonic!
Chilli jnr is on half term, no college for a week. We’re planning a day trip, got to be done regardless of the weather, possibly Arundel :+1:

I’ve just been over the road to replenish my dwindling supplies of fresh chillies and root ginger…

Enjoy the rest of your day forum people! :+1:

Good morning all…

It’s a sunny day today here on the south coast, although muddy everywhere. Managed my daily walk and noticed the local swans are back, probably due to the nearby roadworks finishing causing a disturbance. But there are now two pairs of Canadian Geese who were having a squabble, presumably over territory and paid no attention to my bag of feed, which I donated to the assorted ducks, pigeons and coots that live there.

Anyways, it seems my wife is getting a bit concerned about her blood pressure and wants to get checked out at the doctors. Before that, I’ll be dropping her off to the gym and maybe go for a walk after.

Have a great day…

 :swan: :+1:

Morning everyone…
It started off sunny and I increased my walk and took in the canal towpath.
Something’s happened now and the clouds have come rolling in with a few spots of rain on the window.
The sun rises at 7:22 now and its nice to be in the sunshine (if it’s available) when I usually leave for my walk. I will start to go out earlier once it’s light when I wake up.

Off to meet up with a friend now at a local coffee shop…We’ll probably talk running and the old days.

Good day

Ive had a quick visit to town to collect a parcel from M@S did a browse as I walked to the collection point.
It rained heavily yesterday and with a mile to walk to the bus stop ,I didnt go to the Theatre as planned.

Road works are in full flow in and out to town ,along with a road closure preventing a local bus from getting my way .

Another Theatre trip on Thursday, keeping fingers crossed its a dry day , for the walk to bus stop

Have a good day
