Good Morning Monday, 10th November 2025

Good morning all. Today is a bit warmer than yesterday, it is shock to the system when one day is 32° and the next day 11° cooler and decidedly cool (yesterday) but today is supposed to be in the Goldilocks range.

Just returned from my Monday coffee and cake get together, on my way home I bought milk and goodies and immediately slapped the final coat of paint on the door etc.

Am now sitting down with a coffee and a packet of Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs to enjoy the remains of the morning.

Am planning a few days away in my camper later in the week but am very unprepared at the moment, I need to make some lists!

Have a magnificent Monday.

Take care…

Morning all, this fine Monday.

Meant to go for my walk today and got halfway round my usual circuit and it poured down. By the time I got home, I was soaked.

Mrs G is off to the gym later and I have to go to my bank to sort out a query about using a travel card for our trip to New York next month, which has come round surprisingly quick. Don’t really have much more to add about today. If it wasn’t for the weather, I’d be pushing my mower as our grass is getting long and wanted to do one last cut for the winter - but that’s for another day.

Have a great day all…

Good morning all! :cloud_with_rain:

Plan A was to take a trip to Arundel today with Chilli jnr. A pub lunch was on the itinerary and I was hoping to take some 35mm film pictures in Saint Nicholas church yard.
I think we’ll save it for a nicer day.

Plan B is to start getting a fresh, serious shine on my boots. I’m applying a black rub before polishing with the oxblood for that burnished fresh off the tree conker look.
An old 60’s skinhead trick…a bit before my time of course! :open_mouth:
Life in the fast lane.

Have good day people! :v:

Hi

An amzing shine on those boots.

One of my Carers has a nearly 16 year old daughter, very intelligent and determined to get a good job.

Mum and Dad do not have a lot of money and she goes to a terrible Secondary School.

She has just joined the RAF Cadets to carve out a future for herself and is learning about how to present herself in her uniform.

I am buying her Cadet Shoes for her and your post will show her what kind of shine she will need to stand out.

Good morning Swimmy,

Thanks regarding the boots, and they’re not even finished yet
Actually all credit to my dad, he was ex army and taught me how to polish my footwear and indeed how to iron. Which kind of ties in with your carers daughter, good for her, I wish her all the best! A very kind thing of you to do, buying her shoes! :slightly_smiling_face:

Good morning from the frozen land of Florida!

We are on the cusp of a record-breaking night with a hard freeze setting in by sunrise tomorrow, but as it seems to mirror Australia, it will be back to warm temperatures soon after.

Whoo, though, it’s blowing a blue streak, so much so that it was tricky staying on the trail this morning and now it’s on to protecting the plumeria, bird of paradise, travelers’ palms, impatiens, and assortment of potted palms and plants into the garage to keep them alive through the night.

Tomorrow the whole process will be repeated in reverse. I have mentioned before, and today confirms my suspicion, that if I have a guardian angel, he has the sense of humor of a teenaged boy finding joyful hold-my-beer amusement in pestering and making a fool of me :079:

Wishing you fair winds and better-behaved guardian angels! :innocent:
